UPDATE: I called Safavieh and they said some shipping companies (this rug was delivered by UPS) are now requiring a certain size for all packages and the 10 x 14 rugs exceed that size, which is why the rug was folded not rolled. I did leave the rug rolled for 24 hours, then flipped over and rolled the opposite way for 48 hours. There are still some creases, but they are not very noticeable, they should flatten with some time. The rug itself is very nice, looks like the photo, nice coloring, and is very soft. BUT!!!! This 10 x 14 rug came FOLDED!! WHO DOES THAT??? The instructions say to unfold, roll and wait 24-48 hours. That's fine and dandy unless you have company coming over the next day and you would like to be able to use the new rug. There are some pretty deep creases from being folded, which do concern me. I truly don't understand why it was folded. I have ordered many Savavieh rugs, as small as 6' round, and even that rug came rolled. There is a big issue of trying to get out wrinkles from a 10 x 14 rug vs a smaller rug in which you could re-roll the opposite way, etc to get rid of the wrinkles. This is not a small rug that one person can roll, I had to go get my neighbor to help me roll it up. I am hoping that the deep creases will go away... trying to fold this rug back up and get back into the packaging will be an issue, plus the hassle of re-ordering the rug from another seller who does not fold rugs to ship. The blue than is a little more vibrant than the item photos, but it still matched my decor! Came rolled and in plastic. Slight smell, but not overpowering. Put some weights on the corners to help them lay flat. Good quality!
