I was very apprehensive at first on purchasing this rug after seeing reviews of how thin the rug was. But once I received it, I realize that it goes perfect for my son’s room. He does not need anything special, but I wanted to add a nice touch to his room. UPDATE - After three months of semi heavy traffic - holiday parties and my Shepherds using it daily as a wrestling mat - it has broken in nicely. It also cleans up easily! Overall happy with this one... ☺ UPDATE - we were in a bind and ended up using the rug in our living room. For the size and price, you will not beat this deal. It does look nice in our room, so I'm giving it a solid 4 stars now. The texture is almost crunchy when you walk on it, and it is def not a 2" pile, but other than that, it's a steal of a deal for under $150. This was a massive disappointment. The rug is super cheap and I am crazy sad because it looks so nice and plush in the images. The pile is half of what is advertised and it is super thin. My teen daughter told me no old lady rugs for her room. So we started searching together for a neutral (me) shaggy (her) rug. We looked at all the usual places and found that this rug on Amazon was priced very fair and would be delivered to our door. You can't beat that and I have had to drag rugs home from the store and it is not fun. It rolled out really very flat and the vac on a high setting made it look good. I am pleased at how well it continues to vac and the canister is not filled with lint after having it for a month. No weird odor or anything like that either. My older daughter wants this rug in gray for her room. If you are into soft shaggy rugs this is a great value and I would buy it again. ... show more

This is a decent rug for what I paid (approx. $150 for 8x10). The color is a bit more gray than I was expecting, but not enough to make it worth it to exchange it. I was expecting a brown that was a little richer in color, more than subtle in color. It came rolled which seems to be a bonus these days. The inside roll however is tightly rolled onto itself making it nearly impossible to flatten. I will have to get my steamer out to see if I can help it out. It seems to vacuum up okay, first vacuum is a ton of fuzz so be prepared for that. I have radiant heat in my floors so I didn’t want an overly thick rug, and this rug will get a ton of use as well so I didn’t want to spend a fortune either. I think this will serve its purpose. Even though it is a large rug, I still think it needs a non slip pad underneath it for 2 reasons. One, obviously for slide and slip factor, and second to protect my wood floors from scratches. I have ordered shag Hudson collection from this brand and loved those rugs. This time I wanted a solid color and thought this would be the same quality. Highly disappointed. Poor quality, thin, no comfy shag feeling, and not thick that there is white bald areas coming through the carpet that I can see the white. I already removed them from the packaging and it would be more work to send them back so I will just keep them until I find something to replace them. I rarely take the time to review items I buy, but I really did this time because the appearance and quality is not what you see online. Pass and continue looking… ... show more
