I was so afraid that I was going to be on the fence about the rug after spending $599+ tax. I am so pleased with the QUALITY and the BEAUTY. This was worth every penny, and quite honestly, I feel that it should have cost more. I apologize for the mess surrounding the pic as I'm still moving our living room around, but you get the idea. I bought this rug as a test for the colors because we needed a big one but I didn't want to hassle with a return if it wasn't what I wanted. This small rug came and I love the colors. They were what I was hoping for with the red a true deep red rather than a burgundy. I know I was always wondering about colors looking at rugs online because they seldom look as pictured. But this one worked and it's also a nice thick wool. I've gotten Safavieh rugs before years ago and I still have them. For me they are very durable and still look good. There is always a bit of shedding with wool rugs but it does calm down. Just don't use the beater bar on the vacuum. I went ahead and ordered the big one and it's gorgeous! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. 9x12 Grey and Navy. This is my third rug from this company so Im not being critical. I love this brand! The other two shag rugs are still amazing after years. This wool rug is very classy looking and true to size. However that shedding is unbearable. It looks like we have a big shedding dog and we dont. It clogs up my vaccuum when I vaccuum so I try not to vacuum but still giant fur balls are all over. It seems the fibers were never glued or attached and it will keep shedding forever. Its too late to return. Update.... 2 years later. Still bad shedding. It still looks beautiful and is soft and pretty. I love it as much as day 1 but somethings terribly wrong. The shedding is unbelievable. It's just my husband and I in a small ranch. No pets, no kids yet this thing is becoming like a part time job. Did I just get a lemon? All my other rugs from this company are absolutely impeccable. Hey Savaveih.... can I swap this one out for the exact same thing? Somethings wrong. Update nov 2025. It's been nearly 2 years and the wool is clogging up the vacuum everytime. I googled to see if this is normal ( see response below) its not normal. I have a bad rig. It's so darn pretty and still looks good but this shedding is outrageous! Heres what google says " While wool rugs—even high-quality ones—are known for initial shedding, it should definitely have subsided after two years. Here are the most common reasons an expensive wool rug might continue to shed excessively: 1. Construction Method is a Key Factor The price of a rug doesn't always reflect the method of construction, which heavily impacts shedding. Hand-Tufted or Hand-Hooked Rugs: These are often the culprits for long-term shedding. In this construction, wool tufts are punched through a backing and held in place with an adhesive/glue backing. Over time, this adhesive can break down, causing the wool fibers to loosen and shed continually throughout the rug's life. Hand-Knotted Rugs: These rugs are woven together with structural integrity and are generally the highest quality. They should not shed significantly after the initial phase (a few weeks to a few months) unless the wool itself is very low quality or the rug is damaged. If your rug has a canvas-like backing glued to the back, it is likely hand-tufted and may shed indefinitely as the adhesive degrades. 2. The Quality of the Wool Even if the rug is 100% wool, the quality of the wool fiber matters: Lower Quality/Short-Staple Wool: If the wool fibers used are short (short-staple), they are not tightly spun into a strong yarn. I purchased three of these rugs I vacuumed them all and my vacuum became full I emptied it vacuum the second time and 1 to 3 quick the vacuum became for a second time then I vacuumed a third time and again 1 to 3 quick the vacuum became so full so quick. This rug seem to be amazing price and quality but I the only thing amazing about it is the price it appears to be a beautiful quality rug I will review again maybe six months down the road let’s see if this rug are still shedding their fiber so easily It’s about a month or two I have my new rugs I bought three rugs of this line and they are beautiful I still think it’s a quality rug but very poorly constructed every time I vacuum it my vacuum is filled completely filled with all the loose threads that are coming out with normal vacuuming these rugs are beautiful but will not last year after year decade after decade ... show more
