Doesn’t even deserve one star, do not buy. First use chopping an ONION. There were pieces of the blade all over the cutting board, which was wood btw. This has never happened to any knife I have ever had, ever. Cheap Chinese garbage steel. I should have known better since I live on the iron range in Minnesota. Skip this, pay up for quality American-made with American steel knives. Live and learn 😂 ... show more

My mother in law's favorite color is blue and she's worked hard to have her dream kitchen but I was not a fan of her knives set, haha. When I found these, I knew they had to have a space on the kitchen counter. The block where you store them is nice, good quality. The knives themselves though are some of the best we've owned--especially the steak knives for cutting meat. We are very happy with them and have not had to sharpen them yet. They are not too worn nor are they rusting. They're holding up great! ... show more

I dont usually like knife sets as I believe you can get better knives if you buy them individually, that being said some folks dont want to take the time and do that or others might just be starting out and need a set of knives all at once whatever the reason is this should be a set to consider. The first thing you will notice is the color and styling of these. The dark blue like navy color handles with the gold ends and rivets really compliment each other and is different then most of the other knife sets out there. I will let you know that the handles are some kind of plastic and the feel of them is different. They claim that these are forged, which I assume is out of a block of stainless steel, and they say the handle is as well but I am pretty sure these are not a full tang knife. If they were I would give them a higher rating for sure, specially at this price point for full tang would be incredible. The blades themselves are sharp, really sharp and these come packaged well. Each knife is wrapped in a cardboard sleeve with a tip protector and the covered with plastic bag. The balance of the knives is handle heavy and when holding them in your hands because of the weight you feel like you have a capable knife. The knife block is your typical wooden block with a gold emblem on the front displaying their logo. It does again look really nice with the blue and gold from the knives. The cutouts for the knives are large and you can easily insert them into the block without issue but not so much where they are sloppy. I prepared a dinner with these the first time I used them. I cut up a chicken and sliced through onions and peppers and garlic with ease. Even with the plastic handles they never felt like they were going to slip out of my hand and the contour of the handles helped with that I believe. Like they say a dull knife is a dangerous knife not a sharp one. These are definitely not dull, how well they retain their edge is still to be determined but I have used them a few times so far and they have not lost any of their edge. Clean up is easy and these are hand wash only like any decent knife is and they do come with a limited lifetime warranty. Not much in the box going over any of that as there is nothing in the box other then the knives themselves and the wooden block. I have not had any issues with them but wouldn't know how to go about contacting them if I did since there is no paper work in the box or what exactly that limited warranty covers. All in all this I feel is a step better than most starter knife sets as the style and weight and sharpness of them is nice. I feel that they could last a decent amount of time with the right care. However they should include some sort of paperwork/instructions in the box going over the warranty and or a way to reach out for support. ... show more
