This Ryobi is an excellent tool. Actually, this is a replacement that I ordered and received. I had exactly the same tool, the cordless high pressure inflator, for well over ten years and used it constantly. Eventually it finally broke down and I ordered another to replace it. These are excellent tools and I strongly recommend them. One real advantage is to have it available when a friend has a flat or low tire, and you can drive there and use the Ryobi inflator to get your friend back on the road safe. All the Ryobi products are top quality, but I am very, very happy with the inflator device in addition to the others that I have and use. ... show more

Great to have around the house, or on the road. Check the pressure before a road trip - if it's low (a pressure gauge) will tell you that. Fill up to the prescribed psi. Takes a while for more than a couple of psi, but quite accurate. The effective psi range goes up far enough to check and fill serious bicycle tyres (110psi). To fill a tire from empty (you used a plug kit) will take a bunch of time. But, a full battery should get you to a gas station not too far away. ... show more

It looked brand new in the box. I filled one car tire and it started smoking. I quickly removed my 18V Ryobi battery so my battery wouldn't get damaged. Did I get a defected lemon? One tire? Really? Now after it cooled down, it doesn't work at all.

I have been keeping one of these in my vehicle for the last 5 years. I use ryobe cordless tools with an adapter to Makita batteries. The first one of these I bought lasted much longer than I expected, so I bought another one this year. The price has gone up quite a bit and this is on the verge of overpriced. It’s good for occasional or minor use. If it’s not used beyond its capabilities it works well. When the motor gets hot, stop and let it cool down before using again or you will 100% burn up the motor. Good for adjusting tire pressure or to get you out of a spot but I wouldn’t want to use this for anything more than that. ... show more
