We got this because our other auger is just too big and hard to handle for planting small things. THIS is a game changer. We live in Alabama and our soil is dense clay, full of rock. Easy to use, doesn’t get away from you. I use it to dig holes in the hard Az dirt. Easy to make holes to plant small to medium plants. Also using it to dig holes to aerate the perimeter of my large trees. Good buy
