Battery was completely depleted on arrival. These lithium batteries are not recoverable if allowed to get below a certain voltage and this one has 0 volts. Charger does not recognize it. Therefore I have not even been able to try the auger.

Quick n easy to use. Glad I made this purchase. I used it to dig holes for posts. Only thing is I’m trying to find extensions for it. Wish it could go a little deeper for more heavy duty things.

When this is working normally, it's great. Unfortunately, after only a few hours of operation, the reverse option no longer works and only goes forward (clockwise). I note that a previous customer had the same issue, so Ryobi should look into it and fix it. I strongly recommend not buying from them. They are not a Ryobi authorized seller, and you have no warranty rights essentially.

The seller advertises this comes with a 6Ah battery. That is not true according to Ryobi. You're better off just buying this at Home Depot for the same cost

Most of the reviews are complaining about the battery being included or their seller. The actual device is an amazing bit of convenience -- it makes digging holes for mulch beds a piece of instant cake! And so much easier than gas powered.

Ryobi Battery Auger was not in original box and the item had obviously been used and damaged and just put in a plain box with no packing material, then sold to me as new and I had to pay $60.19 to send it back.
