I purchased this pump because it's such a pain to pull out my compressor every time a tire needs air. I'm totally impressed with this little pump. I compared the gauge to another one and it was dead on. I really like how you can set the psi and it shuts off when reached. I performed many tire speed tests and it averages about 10 seconds per pound. Not bad!!! I did buy a large 18v battery because I thought it might take a while to pump up a tire. Not needed!!! If you already have an 18v, just use what you have. My only suggestion is to purchase a quick connect tire chuck because the screw on connector is kind of rough when it's cold out. ... show more

Like the other Ryobi products I own, this tire inflator is impressive. Judging by my history with Ryobi I predict it will be durable as well. Click in your 18 Volt "One" battery and enter your inputs to Mode, Tire Pressure and attach to you tire's valve stem and you're good to go! Did all four of my tires, from 30 lbs to 36 lbs in about 1-2 minutes each. That is fast for even my pancake pump. Smart company, smart products and me, smart purchaser. :) ... show more

    • Great track weekend inflator
I started looking around recently for a portable inflator I could take to the track with me to keep my tires inflated at the right pressures. Being neck deep in the Ryobi product line I found this and it was a no brainer. I've already had it at the track one weekend, and used for preparation in advance of that weekend and it works like a charm. Accepts all the Ryobi batteries I currently have, lasts all weekend and importantly, is accurate in terms of setting pressure. Happy customer. ... show more

    • Functional, but nothing to write home about.
I've had the smaller Ryobi Inflator for a while, and while it does keep going and going like the E***gizer Bunny, it doesn't do anything very fast or with power to spare. Kind of like an old VW bug I had in the 70's. I thought this grown-up sized Ryobi would give me the power, speed and quality lacking in the smaller unit, but all I got was bigger. Well, maybe even greener also. When an item is a questionable shade of lime green, you can kind of overlook that if the item is small and cute and one can hide it in one's pocket or tool box, but increase the item's size by 10 X and you're way past something you can just overlook, or hide quickly if your neighbor the NASCAR engineer walks up.. I still felt like the bigger Ryobi was just as cheaply made as Ryobi Jr., and was struggling to get its work done. It made knocking and banging noises that left me holding my breath wondering if the poor thing needed cpr or something, or if I was going to perish in a flaming explosion of lime green plastic parts. That is no way to live, my friends. Instead of trading up my VW to a Mercedes S550, I'd only traded in my VW bug for a VW camper -- a slower, heavier and even more underpowered version of what I had before.     • Best way to fill a tire
Forget that Facebook gimmick handheld one, this one paired with a 4ah batter could fill the tires of a fleet of cars provided you let it cool down between cars to prevent pump overheating. We had the older model, it worked for years, I have a full size air compressor but it was just so easy to use that I used it all the time and we have 3 cars. The pump eventually started making racket and couldn’t keep the pressure up as much, we took it apart and found that the pump was well constructed it just had basically wore its piston ring out. One thing to note that this one has that the older ryobi model did not is that it has a wonderful screw on type inflation hose instead of the crappy lever type ... show more

    • Works great on all sizes of tires
My first use was checking the tires on my skid steer. Recommended pressure is 60psi and they were all about 10 psi low. I set the Ryobi Inflator for 60psi, attached the chuck (added per other recommendations) and pressed Start. The Inflator did the rest. The display reads the current pressure while the unit is working. The Ryobi inflator added about 1 psi every 30-40 seconds to this size tire. When each tire reached 60 psi the inflator stopped. I could do other things and not worry about over pressure. Great tool. I do recommend adding the LDCRE Air Chuck with Clip adapter. Lets you avoid screwing the Inflator onto the valve stem. ... show more

I can not stop talking about this silly little thing. It's probably my favorite tool in my garage lately. Gone are the days of going to sketchy gas stations to fill my tires and my wife's tires. No more having to sit next to the car while it fills. You attach a battery, it tells you what the PSI is, you set it to what you want and press go. Walk away and it shuts off automatically when it gets there. Full sized SUV tires, car tires, bikes, its does it all. It's been great!
