This is just like the previous 12v Dimmer Switch I got for my Campervan that you get at an RV store but at a better price. Works and looks the same so I am happy that it all matches and had no issues installing. Easy to install and wire up.

I recently decided to upgrade my RV with dimmer switches, aiming for a more comfortable ambiance and possily power savings while off grid. This model seemed promising, resembling the switches found in my Winnebago.I quickly noticed that the build quality didn't 100% match up to my existing on/off switches, but close enough. The installation process was a bit more involved than I anticipated. First, I had to widen the hole in my RV cabinet to accommodate the new switch, which was an unexpected hassle. Additionally, unlike a regular switch, this one required a ground cable, adding another step to the setup. Once installed, I used it to control an overly bright light strip above my dinette—a much-needed improvement over the previous owner's solution of simply taping over it! Despite the installation hurdle, the dimmer switch works surprisingly well with my LEDs, even though its compatibility with LED lights wasn't explicitly mentioned for some reason. The off switch functionality is key here, completely cutting off power and ensuring no unnecessary drain on my RV battery. Overall, while the installation was not trivial, this was a worthwhile addition to my RV. ... show more
