I was so excited about this folding shelf. The package came, and I was excited to have it in hand. I am still excited about this shelf. I thought I would use this in my little camper on the wall by my coffee maker to hold my coffee cups, and the husband's monk fruit that he uses in his coffee. Stuff like that. Or, on the wall above my bed, to hold my glasses, my bottle of water, my phone, etc. Then, I started thinking about my bed here at my home. It would be nice next to my side of the bed. I don't have a lot of items on my nightstand, and it just is in my way more often than not. So, I thought I would put it up to hold my nighttime items. Just as a test. See how it works. It is great. If I really need to fold it up, it isn't hard to do. The one thing that I noticed is that in the middle of the metal shelf it has just a bit of movement if you push firmly on it. I think you would have to put a ton on it to make it really wobble. I can't imagine anyone putting a ton on it. It never moved while I had my items on it in my bedroom. At home, I have a thin lamp, a flashlight (just in case power goes out) and my glasses, my water, my cell phone and my nighttime meds. They all fit without being crowded. When camping, everything above except for the lamp is what I need on this shelf over my side of our bed. The bonus for this spot, is I can put the shelf up during daytime hours as the bed goes up as well. If I put it in the kitchen area, two coffee cups and my husband's sweetener for his coffee will fit with ease. Either way, putting the shelf up against the wall, when not in use, like when taking camper to next camping spot, or put away for the winter is a bonus. It is a bit stiff folding the shelf up, but that makes it much better for staying put up while driving over bumpy roads. Some people might think the shelf is a tiny bit on the small side. It is 12 inches long, and 5.5 inches wide. But for either my home or camper it is the size that works great for me. Plus, it is a nice shelf that works in a number of small spaces or for even larger spots, and for a lot of purposes. The grey metal goes with so many colors, that it would look nice in about any place you can think of putting a smallish shelf. The shelf was so easy to put up! I put the open shelf with the three holes against the wall and using a pencil marked the spots. I used a drill for all three holes. One of my holes was into wood, so just used a screw for that hole. The other two holes I had to use the little plastic 'holders' (I don't know names for a lot of stuff like this.) and just hammered them in place, then screwed all three screws in. Easy peasy. Held the shelf like a charm. My problem with this durable little shelf is: How many more am I going to purchase? I recommend this shelf for anywhere you need a smallish shelf. Especially if you need to move it out of the way. ... show more

Shelf it well made, looks nice and folds out of the way. Installation was easy and it comes with mounting hardware. It's perfect for the sofa area in the camper where I needed a shelf to put my coffee and phone!
