Pleasantly surprised with this reel! I got the 2000 size. I was surprised to see that it is almost 100% metal, I couldn’t find any plastic (besides the foam pad on the handle) The finish on the whole reel is excellent, my favorite part is the anodized aluminum. Drag is smooth and has a good ring to it. Overall everything is quite smooth and again I was surprised to see that from a $20 reel. I will be buying more from RUNCL in the future.

This fishing reel is definitely one of those that catch your eye when it is on your boat. The design and color scheme is very cool and really adds to the reel. The bearings roll amazingly and it is such a smooth running reel. It is the perfect reel for bass fishing. It fits on my pole quite nicely and really works nice with my setup. Great performance and I definitely recommend this reel to other fishermen out there!

I would NOT trust this for the 22 pound drag. There is no way this is going to pull in huge fish with that high of a drag. You may be able to skip some pan fish across the water by turning the drag up, but a larger fish is going to be a struggle to get in.

I have reviewed a fair number of fishing reels, and this one is the most colorful and funky fishing reel ever. As you can see from the images, the colors are varied and vibrant. The anodized metal really looks great, and you certainly won't confuse your fishing pole with someone else, with this fishing reel attached. As for the reel, it works great and is super smooth. The tension dial works well, and the anti-reverse is rock-solid. The bail successfully closed automatically when spinning the reel with the bail open, and when the bail is open, it spins freely for an easy cast. This inexpensive reel works reliably; it meets my basic and limited needs. It is easy to switch the crank handle from one side to the other. It fit onto my rod. The colors are truly eye-popping; pass on this reel if you don't want other anglers to notice you. I am not an experienced fisherman and know little about reels, but this one worked right out of the box. I am satisfied.

The media could not be loaded. For the life of me, I can't figure out why someone would make a spinning reel that looks like this. It truly is bizarre and horribly ugly. That being said, is runs very smoothly, the drag seems properly adjustable, and it feels durable enough for the price. I picked up the 5000 version as I wanted it for saltwater fishing. If it ends up in the water I doubt I'd pay to have it repair. Seriously, if you want a reel with decent action but also allows you to claim title to the ugliest fishing gear on the lake, this spinning reel is for you.
