We ordered this door after it was highly recommended on several chicken keeping pages/sites. When it arrived it was OBVIOUSLY a return. We were not happy. The box was not sealed and had some sort of food-like stains on it. There were no screws or instructions with it and the operational button had been snapped off. We immediately initiated a return and requested a replacement. The second door arrived in perfect condition: sealed, all parts accounted for, and instructional booklet was included. Installation was easy and quick as was programming. We have had zero issues with the actual NEW door and love it. No shade to the manufacturer- the product is solid and we would highly recommend it. This has worked flawlessly since I installed it. Feels very heavy duty and built to last. I previously had a cheaper one that would stop working randomly so this is a huge relief. I don't worry about it at all. It also doesn't lock any of my chickens out which used to happen with my old door. It closes 20 minutes after sunset and it seems like enough time for my chickens to get into the coop. ... show more

So far so good! Seems like a great, good quality door. The first box I got was obviously opened and missing screws but after contacting them they sent a replacement I love that it’s on a timer to close 20 min after dark. Gives my girls plenty of time to get in bed.

This is awesome so far. I have it set to the stock setting and it shuts right before complete darkness and opens about 15 minutes after the daily sunrise. We will see how long the batteries last through the New England winter.
