Description

The Rumble Tuff Serene Express is a double electric breast pump which combines the effectiveness of a hospital-grade pump with the convenience of a small, portable pump. It uses a closed-system diaphragm which prevents breast milk from coming in contact with the tubing or motor. With 3 Expression Patterns and 8 vacuum suction levels, the Serene Express can be easily customized to match your baby’s nursing habits. It is durable and dependable for daily pumping. It can be electric-powered, battery operated, or converted into a manual breast pump. The Serene Express is built with the memory ("M" button) which can be programed to remember your favorite pumping patterns and recall it for your future pumping sessions. The Serene Express has 3 Expression patterns: Reflex Expression, Swift Expression, and Natural Expression. The Reflex Expression is the first 15 cycles when the pump is first turned on. It imitates the way a hungry baby latches on with stronger suction. The Swift Expression is the fast and shallow pattern that imitates the nursing pattern of an infant or smaller baby. The Natural Expression imitates the long and deep suckling of an older baby. The Serene Express also features a Vacuum Adjusting Wheel that provides 8 levels of suction adjustment for each pattern, an easy-to-read LCD display, Clock, and Alarm functions for next pumping session.     • Decent pump that works with Spectra parts
This is a pretty decent pump. I own a Spectra S1 but wanted something lightweight to take to work. I do not like the flanges it comes with. I found that the Spectra backflow protectors do fit the tubing. Once I connect it to that, I use it with my Spectra, Pumpables or Maymom collection kits for Spectra. I found that Spectra is more forgiving about incorrect flange size or old parts than this pump. I was initially not getting good output and ended up with clogs with Rumble Tuff. It turned out that I needed a different flange size and new valves. Once I took care of those issues, this pump worked great. In comparison to Spectra, the output is comparable and takes less time. It is a bit more loud but I can live with that. I like its let down function more than Spectra. The highest suction setting on this pump is comparable to the level 10-11 suction in Spectra IMO. Since that is the highest that I can go, it is not an issue for me. The good thing is that the let down suction levels go as high as expression suction levels. This was a big issue with Spectra where their let down stopped at level 5 and I had a hard time getting a second let down while pumping at level 9 or 10. Note that the lowest suction setting on this pump is still on the higher side. I would compare it to level 3 in Spectra. If you are not used to high suction, it may take some time getting used to. ... show more

    • efficient pump with gentle suction
I like this pump for its gentle suction still gave me almost same compared with my avent duo pump(I can only bear the lowest suction using avent). It's quiet and can be taken out by using battery that is impossible for my avent which only used adapter in house. I might would give it 5 marks if they provide cover for the shields, and don't let milk come easily between cushion and shields (the same problem for their manual pump as well). Anyway, I'm still satisfied with this purchase and one more good thing of their manual pump is easy to help let down. ... show more

    • Pump works great, but the life of the motor is short!!
This is the first pump I used after having my son. I usually got 4-14 ounces with each pumping session and my milk would let down in 1-3 minutes. This pump did an amazing job at removing Milk from my breasts. Unfortunately, the pump membranes tear easily and are expensive to order and replace. Also, the motor of this pump began dying at about 9 months of use. I was super bummed out because of how good this pump was working, so I ordered another one. I loved the great suction I got with the new pump, but after about 6 months, this pump died. I was so bummed again. This time I ordered a Medela Pump In Style Advanced. I was thoroughly disappointed in this pump. My milk would NEVER let down with the Medela pump and I would only get 0-2 ounces total with each pump. While I am upset that the Rumble Tuff pump doesn't last long, when it does work it works amazingly. ... show more

Using a few times daily. Have over 100 4 oz bags of breast milk thanks to this pump. It's small, discreet, quiet & works great. Love that it keeps the time of my pumping.     • How to store pumped milk with this pump?? Major oversight.
I "purchased" this pump as it was the only pump my insurance would cover completely. Based on the few reviews that were posted here on Amazon at the time, I was led to believe the Rumble Tuff was compatible with the Kiinde breast milk storage system. That is why a mom would use a breast pump is to pump and STORE BREAST MILK, right? Well, after calling the company with no help as to what storage systems would be compatible with this pump, I ordered the Kiinde system. Unfortunately, the review that states compatibility with this pump and the Kiinde storage system must be false, because even with the adapters, there is no way this system fits the Rumble Tuff pump. UPDATE 6/25/15 - Despite the storage snafus, the RumbleTuff made it through a whole year of pumping approximately 2x a week without any loss of suction/pumping efficacy. Sadly, at about the 1 year mark it's performance markedly decreased. I never put the parts in the dishwasher, only had washed and sanitized with Medela steam bags and made sure the o-rings and valve were replaced when needed. If you need to pump more than occasionally, you may need a heavier-duty pump, but for the occasional pumper, though I think it did the job. I did like how light and small it was when lugging it to and from. At this point I'd add another star, but if I had to make the decision again, I would have gone with another pump. I love the pump. It does almost a better job than my Medala that I keep at home. I LOVE the timer function on it. However, I didn't realize when I bought it that you can't order extra or replacement parts. I wanted to get two more bottles to use a day, but you can't order them in the US. They seem to make them for Europe, but I couldn't find a way to get my hands on any. If anythign breaks on this, I won't be able to get replacement parts either, so just be careful of that. ... show more
