I've installed dozens of these pumps and they are very reliable. The pump has electronics internally that can sense water and turn on automatically. No moving float switches to hang up and kill your battery!!

I have had three of these in my open fisherman in the last two years. The first was from the previous owner. It failed within one month of my owning it. I bought two more along the way. Both have failed within a few months of buying them. The last one this past week caused my boat to sink after a bad thunderstorm. Unbelievable! Rule pumps are supposed to be the best you can get? Absolute garbage! Might as well buy the one quarter of the price Chinese garbage. I think they're the same thing anyway. ... show more

This bilge pump is over a third smaller than the one it replaces. The old one just died. This one functions well and the extra space around it makes cleaning the bilge and the intake strainer far easier.
