My old pump went out on my 30 ft. Searay ,I needed something to give me the water pressure and also be {Ignition Safe} because my pump is located about 2 ft. from my twin engine chrysler 250's. I was really surprised at how quiet and powerful this pump is. I can hardly hear it running and is a fraction of the noise that my old pump was. It’s hard to believe that this is a 3 GPH pump. Older 2000 model ShufFlow in my boat finally died. Replaced with the latest and greatest and 2 things: 1) amazing gains on pressure even though both rated at 45psi and 2) quiet...didn't even know it was on...no pulsating or rumbling whatsoever! Ordered another one to replace one in RV now.

Pump began to stutter and then quit, after about a year and a half of use. Could no longer adjust it out. Very frustrating when you're taking a shower, you're all lathered up . . . and then the water quits. Pump now working well after some maintenance work. There was a learning curve, to be sure.

Replaced an existing Jabsco fresh water pump on my sailboat with this. The bolt pattern was close enough to work. The new pump is much quieter (by at least a factor of two) and it is much better at self priming. Wish I had replaced the old one years ago now.
