Great tool for our water removal needs - empty the toilet water before repairs, water leakage in the submerged irrigation control box, water removal of overflow water under our AC unit. When draining is not the best option, this hand bilge pump is effective and a great tool. This would have saved me a number of hours and countless messes over the years. This is a good acquisition.

This is a nice pump, displaces water fast. The only issue I have is the hose. It doesn't stay on. I can screw it in all the way, ensure it is tight and secure, but after around 3 or 4 pumps it just shoots off. I had originally selected the 72 inch hose, but I guess somehow when I checked out the 36 inch model made its way in my cart. This is slightly irritating because for less hose... I ended up paying 5 dollars more and the hose itself doesn't even stay on. Luckily, for my application I don't really have to have the hose... if I turn the spray a certain direction it just goes where I need it to go. Still, having a hose would be nice in the event I actually needed one. I would still buy it again, but if you need the hose... maybe look for one that doesn't have issues with the hose in the reviews. The product I bought seemed to say ' no leaks in the hose connection...' as if they had fixed the issue based on some of the reviews I read. It still leaks with the model I bought... right before it pops off lol. Outside of that the suction is great, I can empty a stock tank that is 2x4x4 in about ten min if I needed to just with this pump. Materials seem durable.

This is used to pump water out from of my 14.5 ft aluminum boat. It is slightly faster than a bailing bucket, but requires a lot of pumping action and the water leaks out around the shaft on the up motion and then leaks out around the exit hose due to a loose fit. The exit hose is too short to easily reach over the side of the boat. Therefore I gave it an average rating.
