I got this a day early. That was nice however Im glad it wasnt something breakable in the box because the box was crushed on 1 size & had ha huge tear on the middle of the box. You could have fit a football through the hole. The delivery person did point it out, like it wasnt noticeable. As for the pad itself, fortunately it wasnt damaged. After removing it & laying it on the floor I was gad there was no smell to it & it easily laid out & relaxed after a very short time. It was every bit of the 8-10' measurement, which was fine. I knew if it was I would need to cut off about 2" down 2 side the fit just a bit smaller than my area rug. It was the 1/2' thickness & I didnt want it raising the edges all around the rug where people or the pets would catch there feet on it. The toughest part was the cutting. I used a 6' level to draw a marker line the distance to keep me from cutting it crooked. So glad I did that. I then cut from the edge in to that line about every foot. Doing this allowed me to cut a piece off & then move to the next section without having to try & handle the entire edge while cutting. That was the easy part. I did have a very sharp scissors but it was still not all that easy. There were some parts that for a few inches it would cut real clean & easy & the rest was a constant push to get the pad cut through. The fuzzy part would get pieces stuck in between the blades. I took a good hour to get the 2 sides cut. Once done I turned it furry side down so it wouldnt scratch the wood. Then rolled the area rug out over it. About 20 mins to get it equally even I got it positioned where I wanted it in the room. This was easy because it slide real easy. Now the concern was get the heavy furniture up over the edge of the carpet & on it without it moving. I had the great large slide discs under the feet of the furniture. Then the husband stood on the rug while I very slowly maneuvered the pieces on & slid them i to their location. It was a bit time consuming because 1/2 of the pieces of furniture were only going to have the front feet on the rug & the back on the wood. With a little patience & good communication we got it done in about about an hour. Now with all the pieces in place the rug is secure & not a concern. This pad has made such a difference in the comfort of walking across it. Im hoping as it is walk on that over time it will soften up just a little bit. My neighbor has a pad under her area rug & it is just supper soft walking on it. Granted her pad is many , many yrs old but it is still firm but with a softness to it, if that makes any sense. Even just sitting on the furniture with your bare feet on the rug you can feel the difference. I will give it some time but Im thinking there is a good chance I will get another to go under my dining room table. Even if it stays as it is & doesnt deteriorate it will be worth the price.

I purchased 4 rug pads - two 10x13, one 8x5 and one 4x6. AMAZING difference having these pads under the rugs! One of the rugs is super plush - 3/4” pile - and this makes it even more plush! At first I thought maybe I didn’t need a pad under a rug so large and heavy (10x13) but I am so glad I got one. The rug was unlikely to move anyway but now it is most definitely going nowhere. It’s on top of hardwood that is on concrete subfloor and it really added extra softness. The other three pads are under 1/4” pile rugs and the difference is even more noticeable. It gives the rugs a more substantial feel and cushions your feet like a dream. The smaller rugs (8x5, 4x6) are firmly in place with the pads that are of the same materials and construction as this item. Rugs are never their actual advertised size but these pads are spot on their measurements. It was very easy to trim the pad after the rugs had settled flat. A pair of sharp scissors and the pad fit under all the rugs perfectly. The online place I ordered the rugs for offered pads and I made the mistake of ordering one from them. It was a “premium” pad but didn’t hold a candle to these in quality or price. I’m going to order two more for large throw rugs I also have on tile. After experiencing these pads, I’ll never put another rug down without one!

I made the mistake of purchasing this without realizing it doesn’t have any traction or grip whatsoever , that’s my bad I actually purchased a rug on Amazon and it suggested this pad when I was checking out and I’ve bought many rug pads from RugPadUSA but from their website not Amazon and they’ve all been amazing I tell everyone about them. I just assumed when I read hardwood that it would have some grip but it doesn’t - I used it anyway because I needed to get our new rug installed and didn’t want to wait. With that being said it’s nice and plush - It feels good under the rug so I’m happy with the thickness. Now the only negative is NORMALLY when you order a “9x12” or any rug pad size for that matter it usually comes a few inches less on each side in order to hide under a 9x12 rug - this was sticking out of every side of the 9x12 so my husband and I had to cut about 5 inches off on one side and 3.5 on the other in order to hide it under the rug. Bit of a mission - but it is what it is. Attached is a photo of it hidden under our rug Anyway overall I’m happy.

Used this pad under a wool rug and it definitely enhanced the softness. Read the description - it is not anti-skid. I missed that. This pad is under a dining room set so it is held in place. Another larger one I purchased is in an open floor so I had to order a thin non-skid layer to hold it in place. Very soft and very well made. Easy to trim with heavy-duty scissors. Cuts cleanly and the cut edge does not fray. I'll buy this same product for other rugs I am purchasing.

I have numerous rug pads from Rug Pad USA and highly recommend them if you want to make your rug cozier on hard floors, especially for thinner rugs. I particularly like this one, that is just felt, with no rubber backing, because it makes it easier to move my larger rug around. The rubber backing is great for runner rugs to keep them in place and provide an extra waterproof layer. They are a bit difficult to trim, and aren’t exactly cut straight from the factory, so it can be maddening to fit to an exact size, but I do find they look and feel best that way.
