I am so pleased with this product that I already purchased another set. I have had such issues trying to find a tape that actually works and that comes off without leaving sticky residue behind. And I found it! I have cats that love to zoom around the house and skateboard across the carpets so I needed something that would hold them down. I have used this on my longer runner rugs, and I have had no problems at all. They stay in place, they have lifted up fairly easy (I just do it slowly), they didn't lose their "sticky" when I have lifted the carpets to clean under them, I have no problems opening and closing my door that goes over the carpet. Everything just sits so perfectly I don't even know they are under there. The only thing is it takes time to put them on the rugs b/c the paper that needs to come off to expose the sticky part is kind of a pain to get off but that could just be me. Overall, I am super happy and like I stated in the beginning, I already purchased another set! ... show more

I have a 4'x6' lighter-weight rug in my tiled entryway. Whenever someone comes to or walks by my house, my two 75+ lbs German Shepherd dogs race to the front door, slide in the entryway and take the rug with them to the front door where it winds up in a pile. I got these rug stickers to see if they could keep the rug in place with these large, crazy dogs and they do! When I opened the package , I had my doubts that these little 7" strips could hold a rug in place against the momentum of my bigs dogs, but I thought I would give it a try. The strips come connected two-by-two. They are easy to pull apart and the instructions tell you to peel off the film on the white side and press it on to the underside of rug. Once you do that, then you peel the film off the side that says "on floor" and then press the rug onto the floor. That's it! Easy as pie. I did two strips in each of the four corners of my rug - one along one edge of the corner and the other along the other edge and stuck it to the floor. I thought I might need to put four more along each of the sides of the rug, but the corners hold beautifully! My dogs still slide into the entryway but the rug stays put!!!!! I am so very impressed with these. I will say my rug is now firmly in place on the floor of my entryway. I will have to peel these up when I need to clean the floor underneath the rug. But the package says that you can clean the sticky floor side of the strips with water and reuse them on a clean floor. I haven't tried that yet, but even if it doesn't work as well, the package came with a total of 16 strips so I have enough to redo the whole rug again. And at the price of $12.89 per package (as of July 2024), it is worth it to me. I am so happy to have found this easy solution to my problem. ... show more

Very easy to install. It sticks pretty well. Just don't lift it up too much. I readjusted my carpet with it 3 times so now it doesn't stick as well. I wouldn't recommend reusing them but they are great for a one time use.

This works so well to keep rugs from sliding around on the floor. I was getting annoyed with constantly having to adjust my rugs and hall runners after stepping on them, and these hold them in place so well. There are 16 pieces so you can either do one giant rug or several small ones. I recommend putting the strips in the corners like in the listing photo, but also placing some around the sides as well. If possible even putting some in the middle of the rug too. These are super easy to use, they haven't messed up my Flooring at all, and they are easily removable too. I have one washable rug and was able to put the rug in the wash without removing the strips and the wash didn't cause any damage to it. ... show more

These double sided rug stickers do exactly what the manufacturer claims and do it well. One reviewer said they are 1/4 inch thick - they are not, but rather measure 1/16 inch; less than 2 mm. That is slim enough so that when the stickers are set back from the carpet hem (in my case) the hem sits flat against the floor and you hardly know they are there. After being in place for a week I tried to see if the sticker would release from the wood floor. With medium firm and steady tension the tape lifted leaving zero redidue. Using 8 pieces (2 on each corner) seems like an overkill. I was tempted to cut them in two but decided to follow instructions. I think for many mats you could cut them as they are quite secure. The rug side of the sticker seems to be a more agressive adhesive; it sticks very well to the hard fabric underside of our hall runner. The other two mats I stuck down have a hard rubber foam on the underside. They, too, are secure now on saltillo tile. The stickers represent a marvel of modern chemistry. The balance of grip with the ability to release when you want to is quite remarkable. It will be interesting to try a release again in a year, since all tape adhesives seem to form a bond that increases over time. ... show more

This product clearly indicates which side attaches to the carpet, and to the floor. Says it is washable, but am skeptical of the stickyness once washed. Has good traction on hardwoods to keep rub from slipping.

    • Be prepared to move the rug without the stickers

These work to keep a rug where you want it, no doubt about that. The trouble comes once you try to lift the rug to clean, and the stickers stay on the floor. Make no mistake, the stickers will pull off the floor, without a residue; however, they're far more likely to pull off of the rug and stay on the floor. Since the floor was clean to begin with I'll probably just leave them where I want the rug and pull the rug up to clean, but I feel like it ought to be reversed. The adhesive works great to grip the rug and keep it from wrinkling, so I have no complaints about how it works. Just realize that if you use these, they'll stick to the floor, not the rug. ... show more
