I actually got this to use in my toddler’s hair! He’s 3 and has super fine hair that doesn’t like to stay in a particular style. I’ve used this both on wet hair and dry, and it works great both ways! It also reactivates with water. I like using it on his hair when dry to tame it and keep it out of his face. When wet, I wait until his hair is partly air dried, then use some to work through the length on top. Once it dries, I brush through it and it holds the best shape! Never pulls his hair, or makes it glued down. Seems I slightly shiny but not greasy looking. Love that it’s more of a clay-paste. It can be hard to work with, but start small! Once you dip your finger in it the first few times, it’s easier to grab some. It was rock solid the first time I opened it. Too much weighs his hair down. I used a little on my own dry hair and got tons of body and texture! Used a tiny dab on wet hair before blow drying and got mega volume and light hold. It smells ok… not very strong at all. Perfect for my son. Highly recommend it! Hope this helps. 😁

This is a good product but I found it to not be as nearly as lightweight as I'd expected. The pomade in the jar is very sticky and hard. It did a fine job of styling and holding my hair, but I wouldn't get it again as my personal preference is a lighter product.

I've been a fan of clay pomade ever since my barber used some on my hair a few years ago. I've tried many brands over the years and landed on Rudy's. Baxter makes a good one, too. But I like the way Rudy's smells and I also like that the container is plastic. Much lighter-weight than the glass that Baxter uses, which makes my toiletry bag unnecessarily heavy when traveling. This "soft" clay pomade is the perfect middle ground between harder pomades and grooming creams. You get great texture that lasts basically all day without your hair being stiff or too hard looking. If you add just a little bit of this to your damp hair after a shower and give it a quick finger style, when it dries the pomade will help lock in moisture and give you a great textured look. Which is great for me because my hair is very soft and fine and can get fluffy if I don't use a product like this. Rudy's makes some other amazing products that I recommend in conjunction with this pomade, like the tonic spray and the invisible cream.

This stuff is wonderful! It truly defines my otherwise very fine, lightweight curls amazingly well! It had a medium-stiff hold, without weighing your hair down. It is an invisible pomade, with a matte appearance to it. If you apply too much product, it WILL take on a slight greasy appearance. However, the nice thing about Rudy’s is that a SMIDGE of this goes LONG way. Seriously. Just a small swipe across the top holds my bangs into place perfectly. For my curls, I just swipe some onto my finger tips and scrunch it into my curls, wet or dry, to help give them definition (I found dry is best). My boyfriend found this in our communal drawer and started to use it, too. He loved it so much that he started using it regularly, and his hair looks great too! I love that Rudy’s had a barely-there non-noticeable scent to it. It’s pretty much invisible once in your hair. Easy to wash out, too! Wonderful product, 10/10 would recommend.

I’ve tested this on a 4 yr old and a 40 yr old, and it works well. It’s thick and takes very little to give texture to short hair, both thick and thin hair took it well. The scent is slightly herbal/grassy but nothing too strong or manly, so it can blend in with whatever scent you are wearing or not. It’s matte finish and washes off fine.
