The assembly of this bed was incredibly simple. This is an easy task, especially if you have prior experience assembling IKEA furniture. I, as a female, was able to complete the assembly by myself. No additional tools were required beyond those provided with the delivery. The bed feels very sturdy and perfectly accommodates our king-size mattress. Regrettably, the bed is quite low to the ground, which limits the storage space underneath. While the bed itself is not excessively heavy, it does require at least two people to carry the entire box. The quality of the wood is excellent, and the bed has a fantastic appearance and texture. It is constructed from genuine wood, not plywood or manufactured wood. Fantastic for the price. Beautiful piece of furniture, absolutely stunning. Putting it together was straightforward and quick with a partner to help. Directions were clear and it came either extra hardware and even a ratcheting wrench. The setup process was so easy I would definitely break it down to bring on my next move. Only complaint is that the paint comes right off if it makes contact with another hard surface. I leaned the headboard against the wall during the build and it was leaving marks very easily even with light pressure. Wish I knew the kind of paint used and what an appropriate sealant would be for me to DIY. In any case this is GREAT for the money. ... show more

Solid, sturdy, nice looking, took me about 45 minutes to assemble the frame. Assemble instructions are very clear and it's a step by step procedure. Very happy with the purchase. I ordered the teak, for me a good choice. No noise, very well made.

very beautiful bed frame. took about an hour and a half to put together (including unboxing). The box is very heavy so i recommend having a friend or paying for room delivery. Overall great quality and great instructions.

Super easy to assemble. It is a very attractive bed. The cons- the slats are not supportive enough. I may have to add a board for additional support. Another con, it doesn’t sit high enough for most under bed organizers to fit. So, may have to put on risers which will detract from the design.

I scoured the internet hoping to find a buy it for life (or at least for a long time) bed made of real wood that wasn't $2,000. All the beds on Amazon, Wayfair, Target, etc., are all the same, but I came across some strong reviews for NTC and took a leap. They have a limited inventory of items, which was a good thing to me because it suggested they aren't just churning out slightly updated designs every year. Although this bed has some wood composite features, its weight capacity is over double that of other beds. This tells me that the wood and construction are of high quality with durability in mind. It was pretty easy to assemble and feels incredibly sturdy. Five months in, I haven't had a single issue, squeak, or sound, and everyone comments on how great my bed looks. ... show more

Sturdy, solid and easy to put together. Highly recommend. If we had one complaint we wish directions had some written instructions besides only pictures and pictures of hardware had larger pictures. Looks great in our bedroom. Extremely happy :)
