I have severe osteoarthritis in my hip I also have a deformity in my ankle same side as the hip. I purchased this because this disability has been preventing me from going places even grocery shopping. I used it for the first time today we went to the mall it worked very well for me and the speed was perfect for my fast walking husband the battery kept a good charge. The chair is comfortable I am 5’5 and weigh 240lbs If you are tall like my husband 6’3 i recommend going to a mobility store and try them out before buying I finally have something that is helpful I don’t have to worry anymore about finding a place to sit because I am already sitting

I bought my DX14 in May 2025 after getting out of the hospital and recovering from bad auto accident. We had planned a family summer trip to Asia before the accident and I wanted to go with. Apart from needing 2 people to load/unload it, it is very easy to get around in. I bought a spare battery but never needed it. On 2 batteries it easily goes further than my family could walk in a day. I estimate for me around 8 miles. If you keep power level low you go farther. Airline check in takes longer but always accepted chair + 3 batteries. China is e-scooter friendly and this chair goes where e-scooters go. Japan was very friendly. Curb ramps are everywhere. I weigh about 260 and this chair goes well on many surfaces. I found that it doesn’t do well on loose sand, soft grass and of course keep it out of the rain.

The user manual is worthless. After 4 hours since receipt of the chair, I have yet to be able to fully unfold the chair. There is an incomplete description of the safety locks and their operation to unfold the unit. The manual description is extremely misleading making it sound very easy with little effort to unfold and fold the chair. If you are strong and can handle 69#, it may be easy. The manual implies a single cable connecting the controller to the batteries, yet it is "Y' with two connectors (One per battery) that goes to the controller and one connector on the controller end. To charge the batteries, it is best to use the charger connector on the controller otherwise each battery must be charged individually. The manual says after a full charge expect a range of 24 miles whereas the Amazon description says 30 miles. I would not have purchased this unit based on my experience to this point. The unit looks to be well made and comes with a small tool kit for tightening the units nuts and bolts.
