  • Outstanding power wheelchair and price!
Scent: Model8
This wheelchair is awesome. It is comfortable, easy to work with joy stick. Speed levels are great, I use the higher speeds for grades and don't feel like the power is lagging. The battery longevity is great! I went to the SD zoo and was there for 5 hrs and I only lost 1 bar. The turning ratio is the best thing about the chair. It ha a very tight turning ratio so going thru the lines a the zoo was nothing and I easily navigated everything. We went to Yosemite and took it on some dirt areas and it did great. If you want to rest for a moment this chair declines and doesn't feel like you might tip over I love this chair! ... show more

  • Best engineered power chair
Scent: Model8
Magnificent engineering down to the fine details. I am 61 with back problems and find that is opens and closes easily. Not the lightest on the market but very sturdy and comfortable for the user. Tons of power handles threshold crossing and mixed terrain well. Charging access is simple. Motor power controls well located. Durable. Very happy with this chair. Outstanding features and quality well worth the cost. ... show more

  • Nice wheelchair but came used...very disappointing. Nice wheelchair but came used...very disappointing.
Scent: Model8
Very durable and stylish wheelchair. Came with a very nice leather seat, and bluetooth remote control. Wife likes the reclining option. Easy to push and control for both rider and wheelchair assistants. But came used, minor dings and scraps on trim. Wife was very upset of the condition. As we payed for the item as brand new and the wheelchair is fairly expensive. ... show more

  • Not an old person's mobility device
Scent: Model7
Purchased for an elderly relative for a family outing and future use as his mobility continues to decline and he cannot walk very far. He chose this model over other options because of the thick and comfortable seat, ability to recline the back and I chose it for foldability. He didn't think the comfort was exceptional; however he has, in the past, complained about uncomfortable seating and he did not complain nor squirm so it must not have been too bad. We didn't try the recline function yet. He said the tiny joystick made his hand and thumb tired. Also with his slow reaction times the 'electromagnetic' brakes might not respond quickly enough to prevent falling off an edge (based on my observation). Biggest disappointment: The batteries were fully charged at the beginning of our outing to Dollywood but even with two batteries, we had to stop several times and recharge them over the course of six or seven hours of intermittent riding. It was pretty cold outside but that shouldn't have decreased the battery life that significantly. The wheelchair was pretty heavy. It would be difficult to lift for the average elderly person. Size: Transport was fine in the bed of a pickup and would work great on a dedicated wheelchair/scooter platform but it would be difficult to fit in a smaller car trunk especially if you have any luggage--meaning it doesn't shrink much when folded. The remote was useless. I could barely get it to move the chair forward if the front wheels were aligned correctly. Backing it up was difficult due to front wheel alignment. It's easier to try to turn in circles than back up straight. I have no idea how well this will hold up. But it looks really nice! You won't be ashamed to be seen in your chair while you're charging it up. 😏 Final assessment: this is a young person's chair-- not for someone unfamiliar with joystick controls or with poor coordination or reaction time. Seems comfortable for someone who must sit for long periods and can't ambulate well. Battery life is a fail. ... show more

  • LIFE CHANGING MACHINE!
Scent: Model7
I don't normally submit reviews, I posted this because I struggled with the range of reviews while researching this purchase. I didn't understand how so many could be so happy and yet some so disappointed. We purchased the DX11 for our 22yo daughter, the unit arrived completely assembled, other than connecting the battery cables and syncing the remote. We cruised around the neighborhood and I am super impressed with its capability. I also love the ability to purchase parts directly online. I also called support after hours while trying to sync the remote, I didn't leave a message and yet they called me back 15 minutes later. we were already cruising because we got it working. (I needed to read the directions) LIFE CHANGING MACHINE! ... show more

  • Excellent Wheelchair Most Options for the price
To turn the speaker off 1) Push + speed button to highest speed 2) Hold down + button until the speed indicator lights turn off 3) Press horn button Sound will now be off , the horn will still work 4) Repeat the steps to turn the sound back on I’ve been using this electric wheelchair now for about a month. The battery life is excellent. It can drive thru gravel & deep grass with no problem. It handles very well overall . I have contacted customer service with questions a few times and they are very responsive. I actually bought direct from Rubicon because it saved me $135 in sales tax I would have paid on Amazon I compared a lot of different wheelchairs. When you get down and look at the details, it really looks like most of the wheelchairs out there are coming from one or two manufactures in China. Sellers paint them different colors and put different labels on them but it’s the same wheelchairs. This particular wheelchair reclines which most don’t, it has a headrest, which most don’t have, And it also has a handheld remote control which most others don’t have. When I was trying to narrow it down, I wanted a wheelchair with flat free tires, a large amp hour capacity battery, and at least 250 W motors. Start comparing them side-by-side and you’ll see the price of this wheelchair is definitely on the low end, I saw similar that did not recline for over $3000. Overall, I’m extremely happy it’s an excellent wheelchair and an excellent value. ... show more
