A little late on my review but just shows how much i've been using this for sous-vide. I feel this is the perfect size for sous-vide as it will hold most circulators and leaves you with ample room for the bags of food. One note though i would recommend buying the lid and making a cut out for your circulator (sous vide machine). I initially bought it without the lid but realized that without the lid there were 2 drawbacks: 1. too much evaporation of water necessitating top offs every day for long cooking items which can be a chore, 2. Temp stability which is self explanatory. One thing to note there is a very small lip on the top of the rim, make sure that won't conflict with the way our unit attaches. ... show more

When flour got tough to find, I decided to buy a 50 pound bag. Two of these store that 50 pounds with ease! My only surprise was that the lid was not included and had to be purchased separately.

These containers are great. We store bread flour and find them to be an excellent product. They have lids (purchase separately) tHat fit tight. This is my only complaint, that they don’t come with lids. I don’t know what Rubbermaid was thinking, if you buy these you need a lid. Maybe they just want to squeeze more money from you. They are also a little on the pricey side, but overall an excellent product. If they had come with lids I would have given them a 5.star rating. ... show more

Been using my 22qt one for years now - finally bought a few other sizes for sauce making this weekend. Totally worked like a charm. I always get nervous using hot tomato products with Rubbermaid but these things cleaned like it was nothing. No stains at all and they were perfect for transporting/straining a large amount of sauce.     • This is Great for a Lot of Applications
Believe it or not, I used this to build a water tower over my 12 bag cement mixer so we'd get a more accurate mix. I drilled a hole for a toilet flush valve in the bottom and added a float so it fills to 20 quarts, flushes 18 (for 8 60 lbs bags) and leaves the last two qts in the bottom. The product is very sturdy as I'd expect from this manufacturer. I think this would work for a lot of different applications that aren't as strange as mine was. ... show more
