I had the other brand with the push button on top and I did like them, but I felt that these were more air tight and slightly smaller. They fit better in my cabinets. I like that the lids are much easier to wash. Love the included 1/2 cup scoops. They are light but strong and hold about 5 pounds of sugar. The lid takes a learning curve to open quickly because they are very snug. But thats a good thing. If you place your finger on a certain spot, the suction is broken and the lid comes off without much effort. ... show more

This is my second set. These are great for storing anything that comes in paper or cardboard. I like that they are crystal clear. They are not totally "air tight." In my air conditioned home, sugar still gathered enough moisture to clump up. I do think they would keep out any small insects or mice. My pantry space consists of one cabinet and a 2' wide coutnertop. These are perfect - they stack to a uniform size, they're modular, and the air-tight seal keeps everything fresh. I now have two of these 4pc sets and I am in organized bliss.

The lids and latches are great, the containers are large and have a good capacity for rice and beans and other dry staples. The material appears to be acrylic, which is very clear, but it's also brittle and might be prone to cracking over time. Would definitely recommend these. We buy in bulk and store rice, flour, sugar, pasta etc in these and have never had an issue. Seal great. Very easy to open/close. Have not stacked these containers.
