There were a few issues but not enough to detract from the 5 star rating. This was the only one I could find that was actually clear And would fit in my manufactured homes upper cupboards- and just barely. The good news is that it was the nicest of those I considered. I love that is is clear and has the indentation for gripping. The latch and spout work easily. No problems opening the top to remove for filling or cleaning. You can see at a glance whether you need to buy more cereal. Functions as advertised. The issues were that it might not have been new. The inner plastic bag it arrived inside was opened and the product has a scratch on the side. (see red circle). It also has a giant sticker on the side (see red rectangle(ish) near the top of photo) that was some sort of code sticker. To get it off I used a hair dryer which only took off the first layer of the sticker, leaving behind the goo) and used an equal amounts of baking soda mixed with cooking oil to remove the goo. (You make a paste and leave it on a few minutes. I used a scrubby sponge and it worked well.) It's not worth my time and effort to replace it due to the mark and relieves me of being the first to scratch it. Bonus. I thought husband would hate it, but he loves it. I love getting ugly boxes that wouldn't fit my cabinet off the counter. ... show more

These are the best airtight plastic containers you can get. Rubbermaid has done a terrific job creating this line. They’ve made it easy to package and protect your household foods. They stacked so well many of the leads are interchangeable with other size container so it’s really great that you don’t have to run into around trying to find exactly the right thing. It’s so easy to snap them closed and it is an airtight seal. The proof is how long a loaf of bread stayed fresh in one of these containers. A very, very long time thank you rubber me. I’ve actually gone out and bought several more of these in this size and other sizes and I may go out and get more. Absolutely perfect. I bought this so that I can store pancake mix rather than use the box it comes in. After years of storing my pancake mix in the box it comes in and spilling some on the counter each time I measured it out to make pancakes; I bought this and it does a great job. It's clear and a large enough opening so that I can use my measuring cup rather than trying to empty the mix directly from the pancake mix box into a measuring cup. Less mess and quicker. Well made, clear, and keep things fresh. I have had a few of the clear OXO Pop containers for several years and they are wonderfully easy to open & close with one hand, but I didn't feel that things were staying as fresh as they should for any length of time (especially crackers). New OXO's might be more air tight. Mine are older. If you have a disability and have trouble opening containers with one hand, you might want to consider the OXO Pop. You can do it with this set but it will take a bit more effort. I have only had the the Rubbermaid set for a few months but they seem to be doing well in keeping crackers, chips, etc, fresh & crisp. I rarely drop storage containers on the floor so I can't speak to one brand being sturdier than the other. Big plus for me: Both are Dishwasher safe. ... show more

These are being added to others that are used for pantry dried goods. I keep leftovers and food that needs refrigeration in glass, but these are great for pantry storage. Sturdy and the tops are tight but easy to use. My apartment kitchen is tiny with very little cabinet space and these help.

Love these containers. They keep everything fresh & air out. Being made of the plastic or material that they are residue clings to them from whatever type of food you have in them so cleaning and washing my hand is definitely the best way to clean them.
