The size seems oddly large vs more basic non-coated dumbbells. They work fine, seem well balanced and made. One arrived with damage to the coating, probably due to the carrier throwing or dropping the box on some sharp metal as it cut all the way through the coating. Function is unaffected by the damage from shipping. There was a very strong smell which remained for weeks, like the coating polymer takes a long time to off-gas. As I bought these during the first prime day 2024, the pair was almost 50% off so at that price it's a fantastic deal IMHO. ... show more
