This beginner electric guitar kit is such a great complete set! We tuned the guitar rather quickly with the supplied tuner, and it sounds amazing. Extra strings, cleansing cloths, guitar picks, a capo, whammy bar, and an amplifier make it ready to go! A zippered bag comes with this kit and everything but the amp tucks inside. The electric guitar itself is beautiful and has a lovely colored matte finish. The amplifier is easy to control as well. Everything is all around excellent. Recommended!

This arrived extremely well packaged. The guitar is okay. I like the open pore stained look of the ash body. It's supposed to be black, but it is very certainly gray. The pickguard is black, but that only serves to emphasize that the guitar is very gray. It weighs 7.8 pounds. The initial setup was as bad as any beginner guitar I've seen, and I've seen dozens of them. The neck had minimal relief, which is great. But the action was about 2.75mm on both the high and low E strings. Very uncomfortable to play and whenever fretting a note, the intonation was out. The tuners were loose and unevenly responsive to tuning. The grub screws on the low E string were sticking up out of the saddle quite a bit, even with the very high action. So, before getting to know the guitar by playing it for a couple of hours, I tightened up all the bolts and screws on the tuners. I took off the neck and drilled the holes in the body to 7/32 so the neck screws would better grab the body. At this point, I will say that the neck pocket is very tight, so good for RVONE. I shimmed the neck and reattached it. Then I set the action at 1.5 on the low E and 1.25 on the high E and voila, the guitar felt and sounded a whole lot better. In fact, the intonation was good. The nut slots were well done. And my fingers felt a whole lot better. The fret work was very good. No high frets. And just the tiniest bit of sharpness to the fret ends that were fixed with the gentlest pass of a sanding sponge. The tuners work fine now that they are tightened. There are no protruding grub screws. And the electronics all work exactly as they should. The nut is just a hair over 43mm wide. And the pickups are good enough for someone learning guitar. If you ever want to upgrade, it is not expensive or difficult to do so. So, this guitar is fine, but I'm only giving it four stars because it needed about an hour to get it into playing shape and no beginner would be able to do that. And when I ordered mine it was 179 dollars. That would have been too much for what this is. But for the current 129 dollars it leaves room to pay for a setup and still have a reasonable beginner guitar experience. As for the "extras," I would have rather seen more attention paid to the setup. The mini amp is okay, but to have to use batteries rather than recharge by USB these days is not great. The capo may last a while. The patch cord works, but is very low end. And same for the tuner. Do not, I repeat, do not use the strap. The supplied strap is completely inadequate for a seven and one half pound guitar. And finally, the gig bag is nothing more than a dust cover. I do like the guitar now that it's set up. And that's the most important thing.

Fantastic beginners kit, I have no previous experience so I'm really struggling but my friend came to check it out and help me tune and set everything up and he said it's actually pretty high quality for what it is. So far I'm having a lot of fun, I struggle with my fingers cramping and them feeling like they're going to fall off, but it's been a fun learning experience so far.

Holy cow! What a great set. I ordered this set for my daughter who is about to start her guitar lessons. It is perfect for the beginner and quite a comprehensive set for the price! The size is good for an older child or adult (probably over 5’ at least). The case is protective, but on the lower end of quality. It’s like the fabric a leather purse or shoe is encased in. The small amp is great in a pinch and even has the battery included. The sound quality is adequate. We have a larger amplifier that works better and the included plug is universal. I actually appreciate that these items are lower quality because you can easily level up on the case and amp, but keeps the price lower and it really is just fine. The little tuner is so cool. I am going to have the instructor help us with this, but I just love this addition to the kit. All the accessories that are advertised are included. This could make a lovely gift for a music lover learning the art.

The RST-150 guitar by RVONE is definitely one to consider if you are about to start guitar. At this price, you get all the things you need when you get a guitar, extra strings, digital tuner, capo, picks, a good strap, an amp, a cable, a gig bag and a hex wrench for adjusting the truss rod. You get a book, describing all features and parts of the guitar, how to change the strings, bridge action adjustment and truss adjustment. This is definitely what a beginner student wants to learn how to setup and use the guitar. The Stratocaster look is traditional, but a unique finish, the Manchurian Ash open-pore matte finish is easy on wear and fingerprints. The playability rocks, being able to change single coil to humbucker pickup for additional sounds. The neck feels great with a satin finish for smooth handling. Please note the fretboard is dry, from storage. The guitar has everything but fret oil, just use mineral oil if you have some. The setup is really pretty good, the truss rod might need a little adjusting, mine did but it is in the book.
