So I don't get those weird cold spots that leave my hair wavy. Just be careful with the temperature settings since it gets very hot. But once you find your sweet spot it's perfect.

This looks very pretty, but its function is mediocre. That shouldn’t be the case. The interior heating plate is longer than any I’ve owned before. It’s professional length. The display is clear and easy to read. No complaints there. This even gets hot quickly. It can switch power levels for travel so it’s fine for packing. I don’t know what’s happening with this straightening iron, but I can’t use it to curl my hair despite trying my best to make it work. I’ve used dozens of hair straighteners at this point in my life and I’ve never had this much trouble. I’m sure it’s great for hair straightening though. All of that said, the price is pretty reasonable for a straightener.

This straightener feels very low quality to me. It doesn’t glide smoothly at all, and even at 385°F it barely straightened a small section of hair. I bumped it up to 410°F, and the results were still minimal unless I passed over the same strand two or three times. It does heat up, but it just isn’t very effective. It’s also advertised as being able to curl hair, but I could hardly get a curl out of it. I’ve used other straighteners at the same temperature with much better results, so I know the issue isn’t my hair. Overall, this one just didn’t perform the way I expected.

This flat iron heats up fast and glides pretty smoothly. It works well on small sections and the real time temperature display is helpful. It is also light and easy to handle. If your hair is thick it may take a few extra passes, and it is not the best if you want soft waves since the design is pretty simple. Overall it is a good everyday straightener for fine to medium hair and the price feels reasonable for what it does.

For the price, this straightener performs better than expected. It heats up very quickly, and the slim plates make it easy to maneuver whether you’re straightening or adding some curl. The temperature options are useful, and the display on the handle helps you keep track of the heat level without guessing. That said, it’s definitely more suited for lighter styling rather than heavy, all day use. You’re not getting salon level build quality here, but as an affordable tool for everyday touch ups or travel, it does the job well. It’s compact, heats fast, and is comfortable to use.
