This bicycle has worked well for my 4-year-old who is 41”. I purchased the 16” bicycle and the seat is just about at the lowest position. He can ride the bike with ease and can get on and off of the bicycle himself. The bike is sturdy and appears to be well made. Putting the bicycle together took roughly 20 minutes and while necessary tools were included, we did use our own tools to ensure that all nuts and bolts were secured well. The bike is on the heavy side but as of now, we have not noticed this as a problem. The tires are wide and handle crushed gravel, grass, and pavement well. The training wheels are sturdy and the kickstand option that we will install once we are finished with the training wheels will certainly come in handy as well. I am exited to see this bike “grow” with my son over the next few years! ... show more

It was very hard to find an affordable 14 inch bike. Kids grow up so fast that it won't be heavily used but everywhere we looked was either 12 or 16/18 inches. The kid needed a 14 inch wheel to solidly plant the foot on the ground. This bike was a great purchase. The construction was solid and there was no frame or wheel issues with the delivered bike. Just make sure you check everything before the return window is up since training wheels can mask a frame or wheel issue. ... show more
