    • Do Not Buy-terrible product and worse product support
I bought this cash register in April 2024. In July it gave an operation error message, even though, we did not do any different sequence in entering a sale. I called Royal Product Support and the person attempted several steps to factory reset the cash register but I continued to receive the error message. He said since it was still under warranty he would send me information to return it for repair or replacement. I never received the email. I've attempted for several days to contact them again but voicemail says office is closed. I've emailed several times and not received a reply. Do not purchase from them. This is the second one we have purchased. The first one drawer rollers broke on the inside. When we received this and had set up in 20 minutes. The previous programming and settings transferred with our SD card so fast and easy! Our scanner worked immediately and we were back up and running. Thank you!! ... show more

    • Well not so good— thought it was a good machine. Medium durability. Change tray does not come out.
Later review edit: We really don’t like this machine. Daily use is tedious. Then the tape feed and printing device stopped working. After a few months use, we threw this machine away and bought a different one. Too bad things are made with such lousy quality these days. :( At purchase: Easy to use. We wanted the printed daily journal feature and this has that. Tape feed system is questionable as to how durable it will be, as is thr overall construction. Otherwise, it has been performing fine —except: Why would they make this so the money/change tray does not come out?! Makes us have to use a separate tray at closing each day. Tedious! ... show more

    • Basic cash register for a small business.
I purchased this cash register for a small thrift store. It is fairly simple to program for quite a few different departments. The display is easy to read by the cashier, and the customer display is rotatable and easily read as well. The buttons are easy to press and responsive. I actually had to buy this register twice. The first one I received was broken. The cash drawer would not open. There was even a section in the FAQ with multiple methods to open the drawer. None of them work. The only way I was able to open the drawer was by pressing a lever underneath the register, which required tipping the register up so I could see underneath it, as the lever was recessed and impossible to press with the register sitting flat. I was on hold with customer support for over an hour. When I was finally able to speak with someone, I was simply told to return it from where ever I bought it and buy another one. I was really tempted to just go with another brand. However, I decided to get a second one. It's been in operation for about three months and is still working fine. ... show more
