I love this food dehydrator. I'm comparing it to my old harvest maid, HM. 1. It is much quieter. A plus when you are in the same room. 2. More actual usable trays. The spacing between trays is adequate, unlike the old HM. 3. Unlike the HM the air flow is even and there is no need to rotate the trays halfway through the process. Drying time is the same for the top and bottom trays. 4. It takes up less counter space. 5. The stainless steel is very attractive. 6. While the digital dial only advances by 5 degree increments, it is still more precise than my old HM. 7. The trays clean easily and would fit in my dishwasher if I wanted to use it. I bought this during the Prime Days. It was new with no reviews and a no-name brand so I had no idea what to expect. The first thing that i dehydrated )which gave me the most issues) was citrus. They weren’t cut evenly though. After that I began making hamburger jerky. I still don’t have it exactly right but enough that me, my husband and grandkids eat it!! The dehydrator is working well and I’m very happy with my purchase. I haven’t had it long, but am keeping it busy!! I absolutely would not hesitate to recommend it to any of my friends based on my experience so far! ... show more

    • So far I'm really enjoying this dehydrator!
So far this little dehydrator has been just what I'd hoped it would be. The only issue I've had was that the case in front of the slot for the very top tray was just the tiniest bit more narrow than the width of the trays, and so it would bind a little when inserting. I gently reshaped the case on each side in that spot and now the top tray slides in with ease. I'll also add that I expected the capacity to be significantly less than my much larger Excalibur dehydrator, but I was able to dry nearly 2 lb of meat without any issues, and that's a little bigger than the batches I usually make anyway. And those tiny lights inside are really useful ... I didn't realize it even had those when I ordered it. I'm happy with my purchase! ... show more

It is a great size and it does the job. I was thinking about getting a bigger size but this works well. Doing mango season I was constantly using the dehydrater and it kept up with the work load. I'm glad I got it.
