The media could not be loaded. Its a bit smaller than I expected but that's fine when I live in a small apartment. It came with 4 sticks for roasting things, 2 wooden trays, a cover to put out the fire and what looks like a like a little stone base. I bought 70% ipa in preparation for it arriving and tried it out right away. I don't have a long neck lighter so I filled the metal container just a little ways and then took a small piece of paper towel, lit it and dropped it in. It's a small clean flame that puts off a little heat. It didn't struggle to burn at all in the rain or breeze. I'd suggest keeping it away from anything very flammable because any little breeze does make the flames move all over. Overall, worth the price and the half cm I poured in lasted me several minutes. I imagine having it filled to the max level or using 90% ipa would make it last for quite a long time!

We use this outside on our porch to toast marshmallows and it works great. I knocked over the table the fire pit sits on and it had a flower pot on it also. The flower pot broke but the fire pit didn't! The fuel is expensive though.

It's ugly, to be honest, but the reviews on a similar one said it cracked from the heat, and none of the reviews for the Roundfire said that. My first fire went out about 10 minutes ago, and these are my impressions and experiences. I started out with about 1.5 inches of 70% alcohol. It would not light or it immediately went out, so make sure you put enough fuel in. I added more alcohol, maybe 3 inches total. I was able to light it after 5 tries, but that amount only burned for around 20-25 minutes. I should have timed it, so I could say exactly. I had 6 to 8 inch flames, measuring from the top of the unit. There was a good amount of attractive, mesmerizing flames, and it does put out heat to the immediate area. The exterior of the concrete didn't get hot right away, but it did halfway through and is still hot after about 15 minutes. I put it on a silicone honeycomb disc, but no heat transferred from the fake marble base to the disc. Maybe with a longer burn time it would, I don't know. The bottom edge of the "marble" is ragged, with small chips. I didn't notice that at first. I'm not sure if the base will hold up, but you could put the unit on a piece of flat stone of some kind, or some other heat-resistant surface to protect the table you have it on. The bottom line is, I don't think I'd buy any of the ones cheaper than this one. If money is tight, this unit probably functions as well as more expensive ones because they all use a stainless fuel cup inside something made of concrete, stone, marble, etc. For double the money, you can get a nice-looking marble one, but I balked because there were several metal outdoor fire pits that cost less than the marble tabletop one. Slightly 'apples and oranges', but you can get this Roundfire indoor unit plus an outdoor pit around 22" + both for the price of the marble one. While I was writing this, the concrete cooled enough to put my hand around the unit and leave it there. Last thing is the fuel didn't completely consume -- the flames extinguished themselves with about 1/8 inch of alcohol left in the cup. So it seems the alcohol-burners are all about volume. Take care that you follow the instructions to NOT re-fuel while hot! It must cool down first. Flaming alcohol or bio-fuel splattering over you and household surfaces would be very UN-fun. This is going to be true of any of these burners, I expect.

The small firepit with a set of forks in a small wooden box. Adorable! There is nothing like hanging out around a fire making smores together. Even if it's a small fire on a table.

This is the perfect way to have a fire when you're camping where no fires are permitted. I have used this many times while camping even when we are able to have a regular campfire. I just leave it on the picnic table and everyone enjoys it. Love this!
