Superb fit and finish, great craftsmanship, beautiful wood with high gloss finish ( looks and feels ten times better than those cheap feeling "satin finished guitars") reminds me of a Taylor, yep, that nice. Buy one, you won't want to put t down.

  • 🎸➽ Rosen | G31 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar > Had Potential But, Has Too Many Issues and......

_________..⪨Ꙭ⪩..______________ ⪨ MIND ⪨⪨⭐⪩⪩ PRIME ⪩ _____:📝 | REVIEW:___________________________________________________ 🎸➽ Rosen | G31 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar Solid Mahogany Top 41 Inch Guitarra Full Size with a Gloss Finish Bundle Starter Kit w, Gig Bag, Tuner, Strings, Strap, and Picks +➽ I have owned many acoustic guitars, they were mostly the inexpensive type acoustic guitars and a handful of mid-range to near high-end models in 35+ years. + I have played my share of really beautiful looking and well built guitars, that really sounded absolutely gorgeous, as though the tones they were projecting were emulating from the voices of singing angels. + Those guitars were mostly all High-end & expensive guitars but, there have been many times, although a rarity, were I have come across some, inexpensive, acoustic guitars that were just absolute gems that, sounded and played unbelievably well. ⦁➽ The Rosen | G31: * It seems like it would be great by the description & photos by the sellers page. It does look OK from a distance and sort of has a decent tone in some areas, but there are too many issues with the quality and build with this guitar at this price point, period. ⦁➽ Build Issues: ⦁ The Finish: There is a lot of potential behind this guitar. However, as it stands now, I feel there was too much emphasis and energy spent on the looks on this guitar which is imperfect, with an overly thick, multi- coated, clear gloss finish that is cloudy on parts, a few areas with some sanding marks and scratches (before the finish), small dust/ particles, even a finger print on the face of the guitar, finish color build up in some areas and corners, some glue. an unfinished spot, instead of more focus and effort for the important factors that it takes to build a quality and good sounding instrument. * Personally, I'm not a big fan of the "Super Glossy" look that seems to be prevalent w/ cheaper, low end guitar builds. * The finish can actually steal or cover the tones found natural within the wood(s) itself. ⦁➽ The Neck and Frets: ⦁ The neck / fretboard isn't great. It isn't straight and there is some warping and unevenness in a couple of areas... * Oddly the frets stop before the edge of the neck with a few uneven from the rest. They ends were smooth enough though. * There are a few high/ low frets especially after the 12th fret. * The first string (High-E) has fret buzz, mostly in the middle of the neck and after the12th fret, and at times sounds like there is a piece of paper stuck underneath the strings. ➽ The Included Accessories: + The Only item halfway decent was the gig bag/ case which seems to be just a little too small length-wise and the guitar needs to be forced into it and it doesn't unzip quite far enough and you need to be careful as not to scratch the finish on the zipper. ➽ + Price at Time of Review: > $249.99 < * Too High ✪➽ OVER-ALL: ⦁ In the End: I had hope for this Rosen Acoustic Guitar, but I found it to be far from greatness with some build and quality issues. Now, I'm feeling a bit let down. ⦁ Still, too this day, I have yet to find an acoustic guitar of my own that was collectively, inexpensive, looked great, truly sounded warm, full of tone and one that truly played well. This Rosen Guitar isn't one of those. ⦁ Currently, I Don't Recommend. ____________⪨Ꙭ⪩_______________________________________________________ ➽ ⪨ MIND ⪨⪨ ✨ ⪩⪩ PRIME ⪩ ➽ SCORE: 3 Stars >> ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ✪ I Hope That My Review Was Informative & Helpful ! ✪ Thanks for Reading. • I have to write a review on this right away.
Style: Cutaway Color: brown
I am blown away by the quality of this instrument. First, let me qualify who I am. My Dad bought me a new Fender Telecaster back in 1966 that I still have. My collection of guitars is north of 20. My band in high school entered a rock and roll contest where 50 bands tried out countywide, and 10 made the contest. We did this twice, both times making it into the contest. The second time we had the only standing ovation of the evening and tied for first place. Okay, credentials aside, let's talk about this guitar. As of late I have been adding to my collection especially finding budget guitars that are superbly built. You have to understand that back in 1959 Les Paul’s brand new were only a couple of hundred dollars. Considering that it was a nickel for a loaf of bread, and you could buy a car for even under a thousand dollars, and homes were priced at 10 grand or more. So, there are countries that are living in what we lived in back then. So, their salaries are so small, they can produce a quality instrument, if they are so inclined for a couple of hundred dollars; this is one of those instruments. So, now lets' get specific about this instrument. I am mostly an electric guitar guy, and have a few acoustics, but after playing this one, I am selling my Washburn and Cort guitars. This one is going into a new Martin case I have been saving. I know that sounds extreme. The finish throughout this instrument is flawless. It is that medium brown reddish mahogany model, and it is just as much of a heart throb as the video shows you. Here is the reason why I am selling my other acoustics; the tone. It is hard to explain but this guitar, when you play a chord and let it ring out it sounds like one sound, not 6 individual strings. There is a level of harmony in this guitar when you have it perfectly tuned that transcends other acoustics I have played. I did an A-B with mine, and started drawing up the ads to sell them. I know it sounds like I am promoting a free product, and nonetheless, I am, but I am also being totally honest with you. This is a no-frills guitar so you are not getting elaborate edging, or inlays, although the sound hole has a nice one, what you are getting is all the glory of nature. The beauty of this natural wood displayed by the crystal-clear window into the heart and soul of this incredible beauty. I can't tell you how many times I stared at the video before, during, and after getting the guitar. Make no mistake about it, it is just that beautiful. The tuners are sealed, and rock solid. It is one of the few budget guitars that it is just as accurate on the wind down as it is on the wind up. No play in them whatsoever. I'm afraid to change strings on it for fear of losing the magic of what this guitar really is. This guitar does not come with a pickup system in it. I'm planning on installing the LR Bagg's M80 sound hole pickup which is really a stacked humbucker not side by side, but over under, and has the volume control right on the pickup. I'm also playing with the idea of adding a Fishman piezo under the bridge pickup, and running them to a stereo output jack where the strap button is now. Then running the LR Bagg's M80 into my Fender Blues Deluxe, and the piezo through an acoustic Fishman pre-amp into either a PA system, or my Fishman Loudbox mini. When you experience this type of setup in stereo coming out of two separate cabinets it's a mind blower. So, more about the item specifics. It comes with some really nice add-ons too. They are too many to mention; one of them is a tool, not just the allen key for adjusting the truss rod. Yes, it has a truss rod, which was something I was concerned about when reading the description, and not mentioning anything about it, but you can clearly see it in the video and on the guitar. There are no unpolished sand scratches anywhere on this heavenly beast. It is glass smooth on every square inch. There are no flaws. Okay, I was expecting at least the fret ends to be a little rough, not sticking out, just not finished very well after rough filing. Well, these are glass smooth. That is one philosophy I have about budget guitars. You are spending ten cents on the dollar of a much more expensive instrument, and for only a few shillings you can get a special fret file, and spend some time loving your instrument, finishing it off with some micro-mesh polishing squares to a mirror shine. Look at all of the money you save. The guitar is surprisingly light, so you won't get any shoulder pains during the course of the evening. They say the top if pure solid mahogany and it is because you can see it where the edges meet the side of the body. The sides may be more than one sheet of mahogany sandwiched together which when gluing up more than one sheet in the form, gives you a very stable outline, and edge shape on the guitar. All I know is I see outrageously beautiful mahogany, some of the most beautiful I have ever seen on the outside, and when looking through the sound hole, I see pure mahogany on the inner wall as well. Great job. My roommate has a top-of-the-line Taylor 800 series acoustic with the special multi-pickup Fishman pickups in it, and it plays and sounds like pure gold. I am going to be interested to do an A-B comparison with this one when I get it setup with the sound capturing duo from LR Bagg’s, and Fishman I mentioned above. The tone, it's all about the tone and this one reigns supreme. Take the side of your pick, and hits an open chord letting it ring out, strumming further up into the neck away from the bridge, and hear the deep body and incredible harmony, blending like I am not accustomed to hearing from this instrument. Like I said, it sounds like it is all one orchestra instead of 6 individual strings like my other acoustics. I guess you can tell I am in love with this guitar. It is more beautiful than anything else no matter what the price. Okay, one more point worth making. The neck/truss rod was set to perfectly straight, which is where I like it right out of the box. The action is nice and low at the area of the neck on the nut side of things. As you get up above that into the twelfth fret and above the action is higher than I normally have it on my electrics which is 2/32" between the bottom of the strings, and the of the frets; yes, quite a bit higher. I know I can lower the top of the neck action lower by shaving the bridge but I don't really want to change anything. I don't play a lot of stuff that high up on the acoustics anyway. Here is something interesting. I love having perfect intonation. I love for example playing an A chord at the end of a song, with the 5th and 6th strings open, and then an A cowboy chord formation on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, with the first string fretted at the high A, and hearing it ring/fade out. This guitar does that beautifully. The intonation was perfect right out of the box; even when fretting a chord with the higher action up at that end. You would think that the raised action would require bending the string down to the fretboard making it go sharp. Not on this one. I think they set it up perfectly from the factory. I really don't want to change a thing, other than maxing out the pickup system. I guess you can tell, I love this guitar. Thanks for letting me share all of this. ... show more
