I have a greenhouse and use alot of these trays to hold plants/water, etc. These are the most sturdy for the price range. The others are flimsy and will crack on the edge all the way down to the bottom if you pick them up wrong. The only complaint I have is they are hard to separate out of the box. Not sure if that's a shipping problem but maybe it could be solved by putting a thin sheet of paper/liner in between each tray. Some are very hard to separate. ... show more

I did the math for you. 1280 cells for a set of ten flats. I have used exactly one of these. We started a garden. I may have overestimated my needs. But that's my fault. I guess I thought I was planting for the whole neighborhood. It's sturdy. Smaller cells than typical flat, but they do the trick.

ive ordered these trays at least 5 times. they are much sturdier and thicker than greenhousemegastore.com or growerssolution.com trays. the oldest trays i have are at least 3 years old planted twice per year minimum. these are good trays. i plant mostly annual flowering plants in CA using sungro mix #4 and these trays work great for what i need. 200 cell trays give me an easy to transplant (to 806 trays) seedling in 4 weeks for almost all things. perimeter frame strength and heat cut drain hole integrity keep the flat from blowing out as other cheaper flats do. feel the weight of this flat compared to ghms and you will see they are thicker. it is still poly styrene so some what fragile. ... show more

I appreciate the sturdy build of these trays, especially given their affordable price, which saves me money. However, my disappointment stems from their size. Despite being labeled as "1020" trays, they don't match the standard dimensions. I purchased them for microgreens to place beneath a top mesh tray to catch excess water, but they don't fit perfectly. The trays are slightly smaller than expected, causing compatibility issues. Attached is a picture illustrating the fitting problem, as it's not a seamless fit, and water spillage is a concern. In summary, these trays are cost-effective and robust but fall short of the 1020 standard size, which was disappointing for my specific needs.
