All other look exactly the same so I really liked how this one had a little more character with the pattern on the 'doors'. It was a substantial task to put together but nothing that wasn't expected. It took my partner and I a couple of hours over a few days to complete it. Could easily be completed in one day. We have gotten many compliments on this. Also very easy to put up and take down. Heavy duty piece, came in 2 very large cartons. For some reason, the second carton did not ship or get picked up but seller was quick to remedy the situation. Nothing damaged and all pieces present, even some extra hardware. Pneumatics were a little tricky and tight to put on. Took hubby about 7 hours to assemble and put up, with my help off and on. Bought a 10 inch mattress and it folds up nicely with the bedding left on (not the pillows though😔) Instructions were thorough. We had to anchor using a 1x at top of unit to place correctly into studs in our room, so we had to buy a slightly different type of anchor bolt. Very solid and I recommend but be aware it is a 2 person job to put this up! ... show more

Protective packaging was outstanding. Incredible engineering as to pre-drilling fastener holes, etc. Instructions were clear and well illustrated. It is quite a project to assemble but just takes time and patience. Highly recommend using a battery screw driver or drill with allen wrench and phillips screw driver bits to save time and fatigue considering the large number of fasteners required to install. Just need to purchase a mattress and we're done. This bed is far superior to others researched with a much more solid and firm base for a mattress. Others have weak looking slats. Solid reinforced wood mattress base with this one. ... show more

It is made of decent wood and I think will be a very good extra bed for our family comes home. We liked the fact that we could have a thicker mattress. We bought a 12 inch memory foam mattress and that will fit great. My husband is very handy but to give you a heads up he has at least seven hours into putting it together. He did most of it alone, there were a few things I helped him hold and getting it set up to the wall. The stepladder is there because he’s fastening it to the wall right now. He was pleased with the instructions, they were quite thorough. The only thing I’m not impressed with is little white sticky dots that cover the screw holes where they are countersunk but I can live with that. we were very limited on space to have an extra bed so this was perfect answer and we looked at many Murphy beds and the “buffet” style look online and in furniture and this one met our needs and at at decent price point. ($899 + tax). I added the video a little later and a photo of the “snooze test”! We wish we would have had room for a queen size but the full size will do for most of our needs.We love it! ... show more

Turned out to be a great bed. The shipping was a bad experience and the installation was a task. The instructions need to be improved. Need more step by step explanations. I do think it is a good bed.

    • Great unit, challenging assembly
Size: Full-Solid Base
Once assembled seems great and very sturdy. Had several snags with the hardware trying to get it all assembled. First, the handles they sent did not line up with the pre drilled holes. Was easier to just order handles of the appropriate size than try to deal with a replacement. And on one of the brackets for the side panels, the embedded nuts on the panel side were recessed too deep, meaning the bolts wouldn’t tighten. So I had to partially drill out the holes in the bracket so the bolts could set down far enough to catch the first few threads. All in all it’s a pretty significant undertaking. If you aren’t a DIY mindset person and/or don’t have some tools around, you may want to consider lining up someone to help you out this together. I do appreciate that this one is made of real wood and once assembled and in place, feels extremely sturdy and I appreciate the neutral styling so that it sort of just blends into the room ... show more
