Great product!! Spent so much time looking for a reasonably priced murphy bed and this one was worth the time in finding. All other look exactly the same so I really liked how this one had a little more character with the pattern on the 'doors'. It was a substantial task to put together but nothing that wasn't expected. It took my partner and I a couple of hours over a few days to complete it. Could easily be completed in one day. We have gotten many compliments on this. Also very easy to put up and take down. We did have an old extra think mattress (around 14 inches) and it did not fit. Ended up finding a 10 inch think one which fit perfectly.

Heavy duty piece, came in 2 very large cartons. For some reason, the second carton did not ship or get picked up but seller was quick to remedy the situation. Nothing damaged and all pieces present, even some extra hardware. Pneumatics were a little tricky and tight to put on. Took hubby about 7 hours to assemble and put up, with my help off and on. Bought a 10 inch mattress and it folds up nicely with the bedding left on (not the pillows though😔) Instructions were thorough. We had to anchor using a 1x at top of unit to place correctly into studs in our room, so we had to buy a slightly different type of anchor bolt. Very solid and I recommend but be aware it is a 2 person job to put this up!

Protective packaging was outstanding. Incredible engineering as to pre-drilling fastener holes, etc. Instructions were clear and well illustrated. It is quite a project to assemble but just takes time and patience. Highly recommend using a battery screw driver or drill with allen wrench and phillips screw driver bits to save time and fatigue considering the large number of fasteners required to install. Just need to purchase a mattress and we're done. This bed is far superior to others researched with a much more solid and firm base for a mattress. Others have weak looking slats. Solid reinforced wood mattress base with this one.

Turned out to be a great bed. The shipping was a bad experience and the installation was a task. The instructions need to be improved. Need more step by step explanations. I do think it is a good bed.

Delivery and installation went smoothly. The bed is sturdy in use and attractive looking when stored away. The bed is easy to raise and lower. Install took about 8 hrs, all parts were included, assembly instructions were clear. Only small complaint was the instructions/hardware for connecting to the wall were planned for connecting to a solid wall, such as cement. Most people have cavity walls (sheetrock over lumber) and so I had to do that part on my own. If you are not comfortable with locating studs in your wall and securely fastening the bedframe to them, you may want to have a capable person assist you with that part.

Once assembled seems great and very sturdy. Had several snags with the hardware trying to get it all assembled. First, the handles they sent did not line up with the pre drilled holes. Was easier to just order handles of the appropriate size than try to deal with a replacement. And on one of the brackets for the side panels, the embedded nuts on the panel side were recessed too deep, meaning the bolts wouldn’t tighten. So I had to partially drill out the holes in the bracket so the bolts could set down far enough to catch the first few threads. All in all it’s a pretty significant undertaking. If you aren’t a DIY mindset person and/or don’t have some tools around, you may want to consider lining up someone to help you out this together. I do appreciate that this one is made of real wood and once assembled and in place, feels extremely sturdy and I appreciate the neutral styling so that it sort of just blends into the room
