Great product!! Spent so much time looking for a reasonably priced murphy bed and this one was worth the time in finding. All other look exactly the same so I really liked how this one had a little more character with the pattern on the 'doors'. It was a substantial task to put together but nothing that wasn't expected. It took my partner and I a couple of hours over a few days to complete it. Could easily be completed in one day. We have gotten many compliments on this. Also very easy to put up and take down. We did have an old extra think mattress (around 14 inches) and it did not fit. Ended up finding a 10 inch think one which fit perfectly. ... show more

Have had this for 3 months now and the bed is exactly what I was looking for. Purchased a full size and my mattress fit perfectly— it’s sturdier than anticipated and with the right person putting it together ( I outsourced to TaskRabbit and it took 2 people to put together) it works amazingly and looks great. Protective packaging was outstanding. Incredible engineering as to pre-drilling fastener holes, etc. Instructions were clear and well illustrated. It is quite a project to assemble but just takes time and patience. Highly recommend using a battery screw driver or drill with allen wrench and phillips screw driver bits to save time and fatigue considering the large number of fasteners required to install. Just need to purchase a mattress and we're done. This bed is far superior to others researched with a much more solid and firm base for a mattress. Others have weak looking slats. Once assembled seems great and very sturdy. Had several snags with the hardware trying to get it all assembled. First, the handles they sent did not line up with the pre drilled holes. Was easier to just order handles of the appropriate size than try to deal with a replacement. And on one of the brackets for the side panels, the embedded nuts on the panel side were recessed too deep, meaning the bolts wouldn’t tighten. So I had to partially drill out the holes in the bracket so the bolts could set down far enough to catch the first few threads. All in all it’s a pretty significant undertaking. If you aren’t a DIY mindset person and/or don’t have some tools around, you may want to consider lining up someone to help you out this together. I do appreciate that this one is made of real wood and once assembled and in place, feels extremely sturdy and I appreciate the neutral styling so that it sort of just blends into the room ... show more

I researched for a while before purchasing and this was the most cost effective option with the best reviews. Box was huge but well packaged and there was no shipping damage, which is a bonus because it would have been a pain to return. Assembly was pretty easy. I put 90% of the bed together by myself and only needed help when you have to attach the spring-loaded risers. Biggest complaint is the anchors that come with the bed. They. Are. The. Worst. Way too much time waisted trying to get them to work before realizing they were stuck half in and half out of the wall. I ended up abandoning them and just purchasing a series of the screw type from the local hardware store and using them instead.
