I love everything about this light. The installation was an absolute breeze, as long as you have a pre existing connection for a light fixture, it is so simple. It is a great size for a regular room or a hallway. The amount of light is adjustable with the little remote control that is included in the package, it also has a handy little holder that you can place on the wall with either the double sided sticky tape or the small wall screws, both of which are included with the light. Both customization of the color of the light and intensity of brightness can be achieved with the remote which can a really change the look and atmosphere of the area it is in. Especially for the times when you need more of a bright light and the times when you just want a softer type of relaxing light. The handy wall caddy makes it easy to find the remote and keeps you from misplacing it, as long as you place it back in the holder 🙂 I placed mine right at the entry to the hallway where I hung the light and it works great. It’s really nice having that caddy because goodness knows I have enough remotes to try and keep track of, lol. The light also has a wonderful night light feature that is really nice the intensity of this light can be adjusted as well! It is not a heavy piece but it seems to be well made. I got these lights to replace the common home depot/ "boob" light. A few of the lights in the house had no switches and were only operated chain pull. I bought these lights because of the remote option that comes with the light. We're redoing the upstairs of my 1947 house, and I bought these on a whim to replace the ugly ceiling lights in the upstairs bedrooms and hallway. Very impressive! They have a little selector on the back that allows you to choose the color temperature, and we found 3500K to be the most pleasing. Super-bright (way brighter than the old two-bulb fixtures that had 65 watt LED equivalents in them). They have three settings... main, halo, or both main and halo... which you control by flipping the light switch. The thing I was most pleasantly surprised with is that the lights remember what they were last set at and go back to it when you turn them back on. I guess I had expect that, since these are cheap lights, after I turn them off they would just go back to whatever the default is. Not so! People have complained about the lack of a ground, but these things have an all-plastic housing. There isn't anything to ground. Everything is enclosed except for a wiring pigtail with two conductors hanging out of the back. ... show more
