    • Simple, understated fixture with great features

Bought two in the 15.8" white to replace some nice but poorly functioning fixtures in my kitchen, and they are quite great. I programmed one of the remotes to control both lights, and they work in perfect sync, no delay, no problems. The remote is radio frequency rather than infrared or something you'd have to point or keep close, so that's great. They also come with a little remote cradle we stuck next to our wall switch. These fixtures are inexpensive, so don't expect heavy metal construction. Perfect for a kitchen, and they're somewhat reminiscent of normal recessed lighting, but just bigger. And the glowing back-light is fantastic, worth the price of admission all by itself. I do wish they'd bulge a little more so that there's a little more horizontal spread to the light. There is some spread, but a little more would be better. If the glowing back-light would change color and get brighter with the rest of the light, it might solve this problem, but unfortunately it doesn't, it's specifically for a mellow indirect glow. Having three set light colors for the main lamp is great for matching the outside ambient light in our kitchen from day to evening. We have a skylight in our kitchen and one of the color setting actually matches the light perfectly for most of the day. Overall these are a great value!     • As close to perfect as I could get.
I needed a bright LED light for my mudroom. I wanted something that had several color temps, could be dimmed, and was easy to install. Oh, and it needed to be inexpensive! This light met all of those criteria, and it also features a nightlight. I couldn't be happier with a light than I am with this one! The install was super easy, and after mounting the bracket and connecting the two wires, it was ready to go. The included remote didn't come with batteries, but since this was less than $20, I wasn't mad that I needed to supply them. I used rechargeables, and the remote started working seamlessly, even through walls! When the light is turned on, it comes up from dim to bright in whichever color temp I used last. There's no flickering or stuttering, just smooth, clear light. It's VERY bright and lights up the entire mudroom with ease. The nightlight feature is perfect if I need to be going in and out of the room in the evenings. It uses hardly any power, and it looks great. Again, one of those products you’re kind of skeptical of at first this thing was great to install easy to use the remotes. Nice the light settings are amazing. There’s a lot of variables on it that you could set the light setting too. The nightlight portion is great specially if you’re putting in kids room Really not much else to say other than this is goodbye. It does not sit completely flesh with the ceiling there’s a half inch gap which is not a bad thing. It makes it so if it gets hot in that light it can breeze but I would suggest this item I’m gonna be putting in one or two more my house. ... show more
