  • The perfect HDMI switcher
Color: Black (with Audio Extractor)
The product works exactly the way it should. Plug and play. No decrease in picture quality, and no delay or frame rate drop when playing video games either. I have my Google TV Chromecast, my Xbox One, my Switch, and my GameCube all hooked up to it (my GC has a component to HDMI converter). I've had no issues at all with the automatic input switch either, works brilliantly. The remote works just fine as well. However, you'll want to make sure the front of the device isn't blocked by anything though, or it won't be able to receive the signals from the remote. Having the ARC feature makes it perfect for those who have an external speaker/surround sound system. Optical Audio output is definitely recommended, but you could use an Aux to RCA (or Aux to whatever) in the Aux port, but you will only have stereo or mono audio if you go that route. Sound is very clear with no audio delay either. My only complaint is that the Optical and Aux ports are on the front and not the back of the device. But that's just my preference and doesn't warrant reducing the 5 Star rating. All in all a fantastic product for tvs with a limited number of HDMI ports. I highly recommend it! ... show more

  • Works well for switching inputs
Color: Black (with Audio Extractor)
I bought this HDMI switch to replace a Denon AVR-X2200W A/V receiver, which I had big plans for, but ended up using as a very expensive HDMI switch. I needed to downsize for a move, so that was the motivation to sell the receiver and replace it with this. This works as advertised. I am using a Logitech Harmony Hub as my remote, and the Hub is also able to control the HDMI switch. I am not using the audio from the switch so I cannot comment on that, but the audio signal seems to be fine via HDMI from the devices (Apple TV, Fire TV, Chrome TV, and PS4) to the TV, which is connected to a Sonos Playbar. TV is an old plasma, and picture quality is the same as when the Denon was the switch. Only strange thing I haven't really troubleshooted yet is that every once in a while, the PS4 turns on randomly, and I'm not sure if it's the switch or something with the Harmony Hub, but only a minor inconvenience since a PS4 doesn't have a jet engine fan in it like the PS3 did. Overall very happy with the purchase. ... show more

  • great video, 60hz smooth. spdif EDID audio issue
Color: Black (with Audio Extractor)
I am very happy with this matrix as far as video is concerned, as the other ECO (more expensive one) gave me hard time. This takes apple TV 4k like a charm. My Laptop mkv files also works great, my very old karaoke system with less than 720p resolution also have no issue. Great matrix for VIDEO. Most importantly HERTZ understanding is great and take 60hz smoothly, crisp picture. Problems lies in audio. I use matrix SPDIF connected to my veryyyy old Bose lifestyle which doesn't support DD"PLUS" 5.1 (It does support DD 5.1). So if i keep edid to 5.1 and if the file from laptop is DDP5.1 = NO SOUND. If file is non-plus DD = plays audio fine. Yes, i have to get up, change edid to 2.1 and it works and outputs 2.0 (no button on remote to change 5.1 to 2.1 channel). I tried auto edid, to no resolution. I dont use arc. So i am stuck on, changing edid often from 5 to 2 and vice versa depending on my file audio format. Now about my very old JTech matrix, when kept on 5.1 setting, if the file is DDP, my bose does get the audio signal and since it doesnt understand the format, it played in 2.0, atleast i could hear something. In this matrix no sound and my bose display blinks from TV to PCM every second. Overall i am satisfied. ... show more

  • Retains excellent picture quality; functions as advertised.
Color: Black (with Audio Extractor)
First of all, we are not "power users" by any means. We are using this Roofull Switch because our budget-priced Samsung 4k/60Hz TU7000 TV only came with 2 HDMI ports. So, the HDMI switch provides much more flexibility. So far, we've only added a cable box and a Blu-ray player to the switch; it performs its switching duties perfectly. We're using the TV's built in speakers, so have not tried any of the ARC/audio extraction features. Only had the switch for a week, so cannot comment on long-term durability. But, the build quality appears to be top notch, and set up is a snap. The supplied remote has no trouble working through a clear glass panel (unlike the Samsung TV remote!). So far, we're very pleased with this HDMI Switch. ... show more

  • Works, but not how I wanted...
Color: Black (with Audio Extractor)
First off product probably works as intended. I was hoping I could increase my HDMI count by adding this and still retain sound bar volume function passing through arc using my Google TV remote. Since this unit outputs audio through the optical I have to use the actual sound bar remote to change volume which is not what I really wanted. I like having my remote use simplified to not lose them so much. Picture and sound are just as they were plugged directly into the HDMI port on the TV. Can't attest to the longevity of the device that seemed questionable reading other reviews. I'll update this review if something happens to the unit. UPDATE 7/12/22: Stopped using this unit a short while after I bought it. Would not stay connected to my switch and had frequently caused my Google TV to reset its audio setting. Can’t recommend for anything other than a switch. NOT good for audio. ... show more

  • Works as intended
Color: Black (with Audio Extractor)
Works great. Definitely better than my last switch that had auto switching and tended to drop the signal from time to time. The audio extraction works great too as I use 3.5mm cable to plug into my speakers

  • Works OK But......
Color: Black (with Audio Extractor)
Worked really well with PS4, XBOX and Switch but while watching Netflix tbrough Amazon Fire stick it would freak out and randomly pause. Changed to a Phillips brand HDMI switch and problem went away.

  • Impressive little unit
Color: Black (with Audio Extractor)
I opted for this in order to extract 5.1 audio from my Firestick in my (mostly legacy) set up. My pre-pro is a high end pre-HDMI JBL SPD-40 (2004 vintage) that still produces excellent sound (and was over $10k retail). Using the Firestick until now required me to connect it to one of my Samsung TV's HDMI ports and connecting a Toslink cable from the TV optical output to one of the pre-pro's optical inputs. That limited the audio to two channel via the pre-pro and then its Logic 7 processing which does a good job of producing surround, but its not descrete 5.1. In steps this little dynamo of a switcher. I connected the Firestick to input 1, the HDMI ouput to the TV and a toslink output to one of the pre-pro's optical inputs, and voila!, 5.1 into the pre-pro, which sounds as good as my other 5.1 source components. One thing to note is that I had to set the audio processing in the Firestick menu to Dolby Digital. Setting to Best Available or Dolby Digital Plus produced no sound due to limitations of the pre-pro, so you may have to experiment with your settings. Setting the EDID switch to 5.1 or Adv gets me 5.1DD and also 2 channel if the content is only 2 channel I haven't bothered to connect my bluray players through this since there is no real need as they go directly to the pre-pro via optical for 5.1DD and DTS and also via RCA cables for 5.1 lossless audio for BluRay's, SACD's and DVD-Audio's. The TV has enough HDMI inputs to accommodate those players for video. I'm very happy with this purchase. The only almost insignificant nitpick is the fact that the optical output is on the front panel, so you see that cord sticking out in front and then gonig back behind the equipment. That was probably due to the small size of the box; the only option. ... show more
