  • Really fun!
Color: Sakura Tramcar
I really enjoyed this puzzle! I was pleasantly surprised with how well everything consistently lined up and fit together wonderfully. You do have to be careful when removing the wood pieces, but that's part of the fun. Sandpaper is included to remove any rough edges. Some extra smaller pieces are given in case you break any. Instructions are mainly picture based and easy to follow along. You will need you own glue- I used a fast drying super glue that worked fine, although I may invest in a less stringy glue if I do something like this again. I changed some colors of some wood pieces and had a lot of fun customizing it. If you have ever done and electric work, you'll know that the fray end of the wire are very fragile. If any break off, the connection will not work. I did not have any issue with the lights, but saw that some people had. If it doesn't work, you could carefully cut and strip the wire back to start over with a new end. TLDR: This was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed it! Pay attention to the instructions and be careful. This is designed well and fits together perfectly if you follow the instructions. ... show more

  • Super cute!
Color: 0 Sunshine Town
This was a fun and sometime challenging project. Took me more than 6 hours haha. But I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. 9 out of 10. I made a few minor mistakes and the wood pieces were sometimes difficult to snap together without risking breakage. I was really surprised at how easy the wiring was to do for the lighting. That can be super intimidating for a newbie who's never done it before. I took my time and read the instructions. Now I can enjoy this piece for years to come hopefully. ... show more

  • Very fun for 2 people to put together
Color: Time Travel
I got this for my boyfriend as a gift and we assembled it together. It was a lot of fun and easy to follow the instructions. Some of the parts were a little unwieldy with the light cords connecting everything but once it's all in place it feels pretty sturdy. The pieces are small so you'll need nimble fingers to assemble it. They included glue and a small square of sandpaper but I ended up using my own glue and it was handy to have extra sandpaper and an x-acto knife to help get some fragile pieces out of the sheets more easily. Someone suggested using a file tree to hold the sheets and that was such a helpful suggestion! It took us about 2 evenings to complete. ... show more

  • If you get this one; buckle up for a ride
Color: 0 Sunshine Town
Okay; long review but bear with me. I got this and I had a lot of fun building with my roommate! The translation for the directions was a little challenging to follow at times but the pictures were fairly detailed so you're able to figure it out just fine. I got to the part where you wire up the lights only for them to not work. Luckily I live with a contractor who is experienced with electrical issues. He found out that, in simple, the battery pack provided was faulty. We were able to somewhat half-fix it with some 'surgery' but I never would have known/been able to fix it if I didn't have professional help with it. Hopefully it was just me who had a bad battery pack and it was just a fluke! It took quite awhile and some pieces straight up did not line up. I ended up just cutting 3 of the pegs off to be able to attach one of the walls because none of them were able to line up without a different one getting misaligned. It was fine without the pegs, thankfully. Some pieces are ridiculously fragile. We had a couple things break in half or the wood stripped off. That's to be expected with smaller pieces, and some of then came with spares which was helpful! All in all, it was very fun but you gotta be crafty to not get too frustrated with it! My roommate and I also did the sakura densya one, and found it to be much easier to assemble and more organized of an experience. If you're looking for something easier than this try sakura densya! This was frustrating but fun and I recommend it. P.S- It tells you to paint the frames in some parts and supplies you with paint and a paintbrush, but I didn't end up doing that. I can see how that might make it come out looking better but it has a really good look without it as well! ... show more

  • Adorable!
Color: Sakura Tramcar
Absolutely love it. Every kit from Rolife that I’ve gotten has been great. They have clearly marked instructions, well organized, and good quality materials. It fits great on my shelf. There’s even tiny L brackets to make the book nook more sturdy and I love that! This is definitely a several hour long project, so you’ll need to carve out a chunk of time and a decently sized surface for assembly. ... show more

  • Loving these kits
Color: Magic House
I like crafts where I get to build something then have it. These are especially fun. I've seen people complain about the instructions for the wiring, but I don't get it? The instructions in all the units I have clearly say how to wire them together with pictures. You also just match the colors. It isn't difficult. I will say, for the Magic House one, I struggled a lot more than with the other kits. The pieces were a lot more fragile, and some of the spaces almost didn't seem to line up. I broke a few pieces, but they glue together really easily, so it's not a big deal. The glue this one came with was a thicker substance than what I got with the Time Travel train. I couldn't use it, but I luckily had plenty left over from the train that it didn't cause an issue. This kit did use a lot more glue than the train! ... show more

  • Fun to do; beautiful when done
Color: 0 Sunshine Town
This was a Christmas gift for my daughter. She is of adult age, and was thrilled to get it. She has already completed it and it is sitting on her bookshelf. She said it was fun to do. It has some intricate pieces and you do need some patience, but she said it was easy. She did need some help from her husband for the electrical work, but can't wait to do another. ... show more

  • For the step beyond LEGO
Color: 0 Sunshine Town
My kid adores lego, but found assembling this far more challenging and fun. Great gift to graduate them to the next level. Really, really fun. End product takes up MUCH less shelf space than Lego. And this particular item, when done, is just charming. Note, when you first hook up the battery, be aware that there are several buttons to check … we missed the one in front bottom, for a while, and kept going to the switch on the battery case… ... show more
