Cheap for reason. Buyer beware.
Don’t buy if you are looking for real Barbie doll. The dolls are super hard cheap plastic. Not the real Barbie doll feel and doesn’t bend at joints. Clothing hard to get on and off -child needs assistance. I can’t get the shoes off Ken - spouse had to assist me. Ken can’t get into Barbie car without real struggle on my part. We will be getting rid of these dolls promptly unfortunately. I knew the price was too cheap to be true.

Cute, but cheap. A disappointment for me. Returning it. 😟
I’m going to tell my age here. Okay, I received one of the very first Barbie & Ken dolls ever made when I was a little girl. I played with Barbies probably all the way up to 12 years old. Yep, I was a real fan and had an impressive collection of all things Barbie, though it was modest in size. My daughters have also been Barbie fans over recent decades, so I’ve pretty well kept up with the progression, as well as digression, over the course of 3 generations. I have to say that I’ve been disappointed with the quality in recent years, including this year. I miss the dolls having a rubbery layer over the legs that hid the knee joints, but also gave them a soft smoothness to the touch. I think they discontinued those due to safety issues. Back then, the materials were a choking hazard and not safe for a 3 year old. I think they were recommended for ages 6 and up. Anyway, I loved that they were posable, at least the ones that had a slightly higher price tag. The cheaper ones weren’t posable. I’m discouraged by how difficult it is to find posable Ken and Barbie dolls now. They seem more cheaply made overall. Barbie’s hair isn’t the same texture as it originally was and now gets so easily matted beyond repair. This set is cute in the photos online; however, when it arrived, I was disappointed in the quality and the fact that the arms and legs aren’t posable. Barbie’s left arm will be bent forever, making it more difficult to dress and undress her, as well as other things like fitting her into her car. Does anyone else feel this way? I’m planning to return this set and continue my search for both posable Ken & Barbie.

Shoes on Barbie don’t stay on
My daughter received this as a gift for Christmas. She loves it because she didn’t have a Ken doll, but one thing bothers her. The shoes on the Barbie don’t stay on if the rubber band is removed, and once it is removed they don’t stay on after that. In my opinion, that’s cheap. The barbies I remember as a child had great shoes that stayed on. Besides the shoe thing, my daughter is happy.

Damaged Box
Received this Barbie set to give to my granddaughter for her birthday and it was all taped together and the box was bent everywhere. Will be embarrassed to give as a gift.
