Purchased the silver color. Choose these because stainless steel doesn't make my ear itch. I haven't inspected every one, but just on a first examination, the closing ring is firm and aligned to part that goes in ear, happy with quality. I like that I don't need a separate small part to hold wire in ear. Even if some turn out to be defective, these are fairly inexpensive so still good for price. If I have any other observations when making my earrings I will update this review.
