The mattress arrived in large box and over 3 nights expanded to its stated height of 10 inches. I have the queen 10 inch. If you are looking for something very firm this is not for you. Memory foam mattresses are different from spring based or hybrid mattresses. If you sit on it you will sink in, but if lay down and stretch out you can feel the support. For a mattress in this price range it has decent support and I have slept well on it. I have owned one in the past which was not as firm, and after a year the memory foam got amnesia, I am hopeful that will not be the case with this. Also it's middle of summer where I am and the mattress feels a bit warm but not to the level to disturb sleep. Overall this is a very good bargain at this price point if you are aware of what to expect in this class of a mattress in a box. I am happy with this purchase and the smooth process of getting it here. ... show more
