I have the JC 40 but wanted something smaller for home practice and rehearsals. This amp was the perfect solution. It still sounds great like the big brother - clear and clean tone with a surprising amount of bass; but now I can turn the volume past 2 without shaking the house. Some of the things I really like: - Stereo inputs help translated my auto-pan and ping pong delay pedals really well - Onboard reverb sounds excellent: just a splash for added dimension or crank it up for a big ambient hall vibe - Loud enough to keep up with a 5-piece band (with drummer) at rehearsals and smaller venues - Has stereo line outs for recording or for use at bigger venues - Classic JC chorus effect is lush and fun to use. Some things to consider: - Smaller cab and speakers can make you sound “boxy” in a larger room - It’s heavy for its size (roughly 25 pounds) - Would need to send a line out/mic the speakers for medium + sized venues. - No onboard distortion (but that’s why pedals exist). All said, I am really happy with my JC - 22 (and my JC - 40). They’re the only amps I use now.

This amp delivers exactly what I was looking for, clean and lots of headroom. I was looking for an accurate reproduction of what my strat sounds like with no effects, no tube color, just the pure guitar sound. With the reverb and chorus, very solid amp choice for home players. This amp really makes me want to play every day. I missed what a good solid state amplifier brings to the table. Total keeper.

Very clean sound. More volume than I need. I turn the volume up to three it was so loud it scared me and the cat. With 30 watts you can still annoy the neighbors. Very clean no distortion. With a stereo modeler you can create all the great sounding amps tones. Very happy with my purchase.

This is a wonderful and "clean" sounding amp that I am using with my PRS SE CE Satin "budget" electric. Am running the guitar through Cryptic Wampler distortion (sometimes), Boss Equalizer GE-7 EQ, and Boss DD-8 digital delay pedals and have just the sound I am looking for. The Amp itself has built in reverb and chorus. Sort of an ethereal, alt rock (remember that?) type of sound, or, just clean sometimes. Plenty loud enough for home use but it would work well at a practice session or even a live gig. Also, I no longer think I need full blown, expensive amp modeling/effects boxes because this amp, along with a few pedals, provides the best sound I can get.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: If you are looking for a quality amp, that gives you a clean sound that can be played low in an apartment and at a decent volume for small room gigs, this is a great amp. I haven’t got around to really fooling around with the chorus for my sounded but it sounds good.

I had bought this amp without hearing it. I was afraid this JC-22 amp would be too bright from reading reviews. Boy was I wrong. This amp is as clean as some tube amps I have heard and sounds amazing. Not bright, just clean. It will force you to clean up your sloppy habits because you can hear every single sound. Bass is great also. I plan on running out to two 1x12 cabs to see what that sounds like. I run an ME-80 effects, love it. Any effect through this sounds great. More versatile and not as harsh as the cube amp effects. The chorus on this amp is absolutely fantastic, amazing.

My usage for reference: mostly living room : Where this 2 input Stereo Amp really is tough to beat.. especially when used with a 2 output mag/piezo setup guitar. I have it set up with mag on left speaker and piezo on right. Chorus options offer great harmonizing of both guitar output voices. Sitting pretty close, at mild volume the channel separation and chorus engulfs space. Reverb seems kind of limited to me, but I run the mag output through a Boss ME-80 pedal board, for reverb, delay, compression looping and other tone shaping, Only a Super Clean boost pedal on piezo, and can drive JC-22 chorus to get some really sweet dirt. Definately recommend this stereo amp for clean and acoustic tone clarity; perfect for blending mag/piezo voicing. Now that I have played with this 2 channel amp in combination with 2 channel guitar and some added pedal works, would hardly call it a one trick pony.

This amp quickly has become one of my favorites. Not only is it built like a rock with many features and no flaws (take a notice fender) it just sounds awesome. The stereo effects of chorus and reverb are so lush i just love ro turn it up. It sounds excellent with any guitar i threw at it and I like the cleans a lot better than my fender 68 Princeton. Much more clarity, built with no flaws unlike the crooked frame on Princeton and less than half the price. It also is an amp that finally has a home for my rat pedal and it gives it almost a fuzz like effect and not flabby bass like every other amp I own. I think people should not be so concerned with tubes and check this out. To me it blows away all my tube amps. Its all in the playing. Total quality here.
