Let me tell you a story: After I bought my house and was renovating it, I noticed my west neighbor had installed a security camera in their driveway, so I only installed Ring security cameras on the other three sides of my house. However, in July 2024, thieves climbed over the fence on the west side of my house and cut the Wi-Fi cable, rendering the Ring security system inoperable. Afterwards, I asked my neighbor if his camera had captured anything, and he said it wasn't working at all. So, I had to install another camera on the west side of my house. I didn't want to run wires through the wall, so I bought a solar-powered wireless camera. This camera is easy to install, charges easily with solar power, and provides good video quality. I can set it to sound an alarm if someone enters its detection range. So far, everything seems to be working properly, and the price is good.

The cam has been great. Setup was super easy – just mount it, connect it to the app, and you’re good to go. The fact that it’s powered by a solar panel is a huge plus. I haven’t had to worry about charging or running wires at all. Even on cloudy days, the battery stays topped up. The video quality is clear during the day and pretty decent at night too. The motion detection is spot on, and I get alerts right on my phone when there’s movement. The app is easy to use and lets me check the live feed anytime. It’s also built tough – it’s been through a couple of storms already and still works like a champ. If you’re looking for a hassle-free security cam that doesn’t need wires or constant charging, this one’s a solid choice

DO NOT BUY THIS SYSTEM! I've had it about 4 months and now all of a sudden, it stopped working all together. It is the biggest piece of crap I've ever bought. It does NOT record 24/7, picture quality is horrible, and you definitely can't mount a camera 300 feet away. My farthest camera is only 30 feet from the base unit, and it barely gets a signal. Also, you may or may not get notifications about activity. This system is a complete waste of money. Update: here it is a few months later and one of the cameras just quit working all together.

So far, it has exceeded my expectations! Pros: Truly wire-free setup: The solar panel keeps the camera charged, so I didn’t need to run any power cables. Clear image quality: The video is crisp, even at night thanks to the color night vision. Smooth PTZ function: I can remotely pan, tilt, and zoom from my phone easily. The media could not be loaded. This solar security camera is solid and much better than others I've tried in this price range. Setup was quick and easy with Wi-Fi and the app, and the picture quality is sharp, especially when switched to high definition. Night vision with the four lights looks great, and the solar panel keeps the battery charged while still giving the option to use a cable indoors. Through the app, I can rotate the camera and have two-way audio. I can also take pictures and record video directly through the app. The standard definition is pretty decent and almost real-time, while high definition is definitely sharper but has about 30 seconds to a minute of latency. I notice the delay more since my Wi-Fi signal is weak and the distance is long, but with stronger Wi-Fi and closer range it would probably be smooth. Overall, the camera feels well built, easy to use, and delivers a clear picture day and night.

The image quality is very good (really good) day or night, on full color. The setup was very easy. I like that the solar panels can be installed separately away from the camera, and that you can use your phone, tablet or computer. However, the signal range is quite short - not as advertised. Also the cameras go to sleep mode too fast and some events are missed - not everything is recorded. The system description states that the cameras follow movement and that no monthly fee is required - but to have this function working a subscription is asked - for me, this is kind of deceptive information.
