  • Great lens for the miney
This is a sharp little lens. I give it 5 stars - not necessarily to compare it to how it stacks up against more expensive lenses - but for overall value. For the price you’ll get lightweight, affordable lens that performs very well - with peppy autofocus. I love all these small rokinon/Samyang line of AF lenses. For my immediate use, this has been a great lens for video when used on a gimbal with my Sony a7s3 when a wider lens is needed. When buying I considered this against the tamron 20mm but went for this simply based on owning a rokinon AF 24mm and being happy with it. ... show more

  • Fantastic lens for the money!
Great for real-estate photography. Very pleased with the speed and look. Especially in low lit environments.

  • Autofocus is Awful.
Completely honest review here. If you are a video shooter do not buy this lens. It's autofocus is horrible, unreliable at best and just broken most of the time. I updated the firmware on the lens and for photography it's a bit better but it loves to hunt even when it's locked on. It will say it's locked on when it's most definitely not. Just useless unless your MF. And even than you should buy a cinema lens as the price is about the same and the image quality is better. ... show more

  • Sharp lens for the price.
I spend a fair amount of time shooting landscapes. I’ve been shooting with my Ziess 24-70mm F4 with my Sony A7RII. I got the Rokinon 18mm for a wider angle. The lens is surprisingly sharp. I purchase a previously owned one in mint condition. The lens is very light and the build quality is cheap. It’s feels like some low grade plastic. However, the lens takes some great photos. I was amazed at just how much I could crop a shot and the details were spot on. I thought the lens was defective initially. The lens would not focus when I mounted it the 1st time. I took it off them put it back on and it worked perfectly. It’s definitely worth purchasing without breaking the back. ... show more

  • Pretty sharp and lightweight
This lens has exceeded expectations. The quality obtained from this lens for the price is outstanding. Pictures look very crisp. Have been using it with the Sony A7iii and have had no issues. Autofocus occasionally does not kick in, but it has not been a problem. 5 stars.

  • Great lens for the money
Good, cheap, full-frame, wide-angle AF. The AF isn't very great at range, but I mostly focus manual anyhow, I just wanted a smarter lens so I didn't have to explain to the camera that there really is a lens attached, it just is too dumb to tell you. Some astrophotography shots attached.

  • Best vlog lens
If you’re looking for a blog lens this is the best cheapest option by far. It’s affordable, small and it’s autofocus.

  • Poor construction. Overpriced.
I bought this knowing it was far from being rugged. But $329 is WAY too expensive for something this crappy. Yes, it's wide. Optics are average at best. But I'd rather buy a good legacy lens than keep this thing. Unlikely to last a year.
