Great wind noise attenuation, perfect for R0DE Wireless Go/Pro and similar mics. I bought two!

These are designed for the R0DE Wireless Go and Wireless Pro, but really, any small mic that has a cold shoe clip that's the same size or smaller as the R0DE mic should fit. I never had to test out the performance of the foam wind shield until this year. It works, amazingly well! we were in 15mph gusting to 30mph conditions and there was zero wind noise using Wireless Go II mics! Very impressed! I now have two of these, in case another R0DE user (I have two sets of Wireless Go II) was doing an interview with the second set of mics. My ONLY suggestion is that the packaging change to some kind of polypropylene rigid box. The soft foam wind screen needs to be protected from crushing and compression during transport and storage, and the cardboard box on the second one is already coming apart after one week of use.

Super simple but elegant and effective

Great product! Definitely overpriced, but fits the Røde clip on mics perfectly. The foam windscreen has Røde printed on it, which tbd, is a little bit of a flex if you’re creating content / capturing audio. In short you’re telling the world you take your sound engineering seriously. It’s all just signaling. Nevertheless, I’ve tried the knock offs and this fits the clip perfectly and is much much better. Worth the splurge IMO.

We got this for guest interviews at our wedding and it was absolutely perfect! We love this mic cover! It just adds a little something. The price is great for the quality as well. Great value. The Rode mics always sound great and this doesn't take anything away from that. Super durable and the Rode mic fits great.

Would be happier with the premium price if it didn't have the giant RODE logo

I'm not one to balk at a marked up price. These things don't cost that much to make, so RODE is making themselves a decent profit here. I'm okay with that. But the giant in-your-face RODE logo across the entire mic foam is a bit much. I'm guessing RODE thinks some 'influencers' who use these things would love to show off their fancy not-aftermarket gear choices... but some of us just want an unobtrusive handheld wireless mic solution without it also being a billboard. Anyways, as far as functionality goes, it works fine, the one gripe I have is if you don't gingerly slide off the foam while the mic is installed, sometimes the mic unit pops off while pulling off the foam, so always be ready for that and don't let it drop on a hard surface. I really like how they have the long handle here (like a typical ENG mic), which lets me put a mic flag on it if I want, and still have plenty of room for holding the handle and pointing the mic at someone (especially in these socially-distant times).
