The foam windscreen has Røde printed on it, which tbd, is a little bit of a flex if you’re creating content / capturing audio. In short you’re telling the world you take your sound engineering seriously. It’s all just signaling. Nevertheless, I’ve tried the knock offs and this fits the clip perfectly and is much much better. Yeah, this piece of plastic is a bit on the pricey side, but it helps create a sturdy external interview mic for the wireless Go. I am not sure if it works with other mic set ups, but assume so as the wireless microphone clips to the plastic. The sound is pretty good quality as I use it for FB live community meetings and video updates for wildfire communications. If you are not fond of the RODE on the mic windscreen, simply use a black sharpie on the white letters. ... show more
