  • Solid bass
Style: 4 Ohm
The speaker is a solid build and strong performance that is a great addition to any setup however if you’re going to use it with a pro amp make sure you use a good crossover something like 150 hz down and you will be fine. I’m using the 15 with a klipsch 4phm 200 watts rms 400 peak plate amp and it works great for my use because I’m not looking for loud but for solid bass tone and also for my bass guitar on occasion , used for church and home setups , I am doing a edit on this Rockville 15” sub because it’s a bit more involved than just using it for a subwoofer. I have made some changes to the crossover frequency from 150hz . Now I am using it at 45hz to 500 hz with a high frequency cabinet on top at 500 to around 40 k range using it for my guitar rig so even though I will never use the full range of 40k hz it will still work well with my keyboard and bass guitar using this section as my right side while my regular guitar amp is handling the left side , so I am using it as a stereo instrument rig so I can play everything through 1 setup with a set of monitors for playback. Using the Rockville 15 allows me to be versatile along with the Roland AC Edirol FA -66 FireWire and Edirol powered monitors making it a great fit for my needs . This Rockville 15 has several ways to use it and all you need is imagination and the will to make it happen. My recommendation is try it and if you don’t like it then return it and you will not have any losses just a little more growth. ... show more

  • Sgb1158 = trash
Style: 4 Ohm
Had a feeling I got f***** for a while seeing that these wouldn’t really kick. After reading some reviews specifically one by 1shoppingwife, I have found that my feelings were right. I can’t return these from when I bought them. The seller audiosavings doesn’t do return. YAY. Anyways I’ll keep the mom to remind me of my mistake and upgrade the speakers inside ... show more

  • So cheap
Style: 4 Ohm
Don't do it. Thin board causing my top high quality speaker to fall to the ground and cracked my horn. Also sub was just not sounding good. Yes it had plenty of power. It's just not good all the way around.

  • Yes indeed!!!
Style: 4 Ohm
Now first of all I did not buy this Cabinet for any DJ gigs I AM NOT A DJ, but I am a bass player, yeah I know it's not a bass cab. Per say but I needed a cabinet small enough to fit in a small hole at my church, and it fits perfectly! Now I have several other bass cabs but they all are much to BIG. 4x10, 1x15 Hartke and Peavey 2x18. Now I brought the Rockville 15" 4ohm version. Let me tell you Rockville is true to their name. Tons of low end!!! Don't let the price fool you. Get it ... show more

  • UPDATE. 11/24/2018. Good for the price
Style: 4 Ohm
UPDATE.11/24/18. I purchased a second one in June/18. Both subs still working flawlessly. The sub boxes are well built as I mentioned. They are smaller then most but still provide a good thump. The front screen is a little on the flimsy side as well as the speaker plate in the back but as I mentioned in the original review, for under 100 bucks.. some corners do get cut. I recently added the Behringer CX2320 crossover and just last week, added the Behringer KM1700 amplifier. The subs match very well to the new amplifier & the amp is much lighter than my old Precedent 600A. Theses subs can and need to be tuned. They also respond very well to it. I prefer my subs to be passive for ease of lugging them around and I prefer to be able to tune them un noticed as opposed to having to run around a facade and crouch down to twist some knobs. As a sound comparison, with my current subwoofer set up. These sound better than the behringer vq1500 series powered sub, which is what I was originally going to purchase, and right at the Peavey dark matter 115 powered sub mark. The key is using a crossover. These speakers need one and can hit those low frequencies. For the past several months, they have worked very well and compliment both my Alto and JBL tops. May try out their 18 inch sub next. ... show more

  • I have a good Sub cabinet
Style: 4 Ohm
This is my second Rockville cabinet (sub). Since I already had an amp with a built in crossover this made sense. I was very impressed with the quality as I seen pics from other people. Mine came intact and works. No problems and have sensed used it 3x. Depending on the size of their room I use one or two of them. I highly recommend and make sure you crossover your amp if you have that capability. ... show more
