  • Impressive & Loud
I agonized for days on which speaker to buy. Sooo many options available to fill my need to expand upon the stage area to places far over to the sides. I am very pleased and also amazed at what these speakers can easily put out. Like others said, I experienced very bad hum at times. The solution was in the manual. Use TRS phone cables instead of TR. Hum...gone. Final conclusion: For now 5 out of 5 stars. In addition to using them for events, I can plug these up in my workshop and listen to some decent music while I'm working. These are my second pair of Rockville speakers. The first ones were a pair of passive 18' subwoofers. Solid performance so far. ... show more

  • Super Deal
For the money these powered monitors are very good. A little noisy if you are not using the balanced input but still a very well made little speaker. used them on my outdoor stage a personal monitors and they supplied plenty of stage volume and good sound.

  • Good small speaker for the price
As others have said, lacks some low end, but what would you expect from an 8" cab. Overall the sound is just fine for our little duo playing at small venues. I ended up pulling the grille off and cutting the wires to the overly bright logo (many people complained that they were distracting). It was a simple fix. Would love it to have a carrying handle, as some pics show, but mine don't have any handle. Makes them a bit awkward to transport. ... show more

  • Great size for smaller applications backyards an small wedding ceremonies
impressive add subs Definitely for that lower bass sound but for these little speakers they throw a lot of sound out They're nice and clear they light up on the front They do not have XLR out to daisy-chain My purpose of using them is small weddings not wedding receptions for microphone purpose an background music ill keep up on my review(8/03/17)first receiving them. No handle even though they're small id like a handle with them. Update 07/26/18 I've used these for a few events lightly used volume wise. Had a back yard party I DJ'd for I still add a sub with these (behringer eurolive d1200 -12inch sub with 500watt rating with active crossover) all in all sounds great paired my client's were impressed with the "small but mighty" kind of sound. The video they just recently added to the pics section on this product is misleading especially when the guys like "listen to how they sound" lol nothings plugged into them not even a power cord ! I'll keep updating thanks :) ... show more

  • Mind blowing sound for the price.
I was unsure about this powered speaker at first bc of the $100 price point, but for the 400w amp ceiling I had to try it. After connecting this speaker to my electric drum kit through a 1/4” TRS cable, it blew my mind. This speaker goes from library to concert volume level in a snap. I tried to use a Bluetooth speaker wired to my electric drum kit at first, which caused a 1/4 sec delay bw the drumstick strike and the speaker sound. This Rockville speaker and TRS cable eliminated all sound delay and it sounds great. ... show more

  • Don't throw your money away.
Worked decent for a bout a month but the input and output issues like the 1/4 inch jack slots where you plug in your line in chords would fall out. Shoddy quality. The sellers would not refund me only if I destroyed the item and sent them a picture of it because they didn't want to pay for the the return shipping! ... show more

  • Didn’t pay attention
Well, I hope it sounds good. I was looking at the BPA10 but this one would deliver faster. I made the mistake of not reading the description because I thought the only difference was the size. Now I have a speaker with no Bluetooth, no aux port, and no remote control. I will now have to buy and RCA to Bluetooth adapter before I can try it out. My fault...lesson learned. I will say it appears to be a very solid speaker. ... show more

This is just what I needed. Quick setup on the patio for small parties. Excellent sound for the price. Just attach to my Samsung tablet, fire up Pandora and quality music for hours.
