The Rockville RMWK4 is a complete 4 AWG marine amplifier wiring kit built for high-performance marine and car audio applications. It includes 18 ft. of high-current, low-impedance tinned-OFC power and ground wire, 20 ft. of twisted-pair RCA cable, a 25 ft. remote wire, and a 25 ft. speaker cable- everything you need to power your amplifier with low resistance and clean signal transmission. The kit is made to withstand harsh environments with waterproof insulation, corrosion-resistant materials, and a rugged fuse holder with included 120A and 80A Mini-ANL fuses. Also included are (2) ring terminals, (2) spade terminals, (5) speaker cable terminals, (10) white cable ties, and (1) washer for a secure, organized install. The product itself is heavy duty and seems like it would last but I gave a 4 star review because there is just not enough wire to run from the battery to my amp. I have a 23’ boat but really only needed to run about half that length and the amount of wire sent barely reached. I really wish it would have been a foot longer or more. ... show more

I originally gave this five stars, but one year later my amp has quit working. Just went to investigate and to add a Noco battery maintainer, and the ground wire is literally falling apart. The lug literally had disintegrated off. Cut a little piece off and the rest breaks. I literally went 8 inches from the lug and the wire continues to just break off. It is extremely oxidized and has created powder all over the negative battery terminal and inside of the braid. I was wondering where it came from and now I know. This is not quality wire, I have always rinsed this boat with freshwater and we keep it at the house, covered. Absolutely would not buy again. I’m going to West Marine right now to buy a proper piece of marine power wire. This might work in an automobile environment, but definitely not in your boat. Do not buy this junk. ... show more

    • Review kit contents carefully before purchase
The packaged kit is a great idea but did not cover everything needed. I will confess, I should have read the contents more carefully and measured what I needed more closely. However, the 4 gauge wire is only 18', I will need 6 ft more to reach my battery. My assumption was that I have an average size boat (23 ft runabout) and I was not going the entire length of the boat. I would be surprised if this would be enough length for a fishing boat. I then inspect the RCA cable (notice I did not say cable(s)) The kit includes 1 long 20' RCA cable with a connector on both ends. The amp and the radio head both have RCA connectors so now I need 2 more connectors. I assume that they think you can just cut in half and butt connect one end... So I checked on line and they sell 2- 6ft RCA cables for 12.99. I am very dissappointed that this could not have been part of the package to begin with. The quality of the items seem to be good quality. You just need to know what you need. ... show more
